Very basic hotel

Very basic hotel. My room was cleaned but smelled like pee and had pee on the toilet seat. I stayed here for the location between the airport and cruise port. Beware the airport shuttle does not run on a schedule, you have to call the front desk to send it. I took an Uber. The shuttle to the cruise port is $10 per person and also needs to be reserved. It was easier to take an Uber. There was no water or vending machines. Breakfast ends at 9am sharp, so, if you are coming from the west coast and want to sleep in, you’ll miss breakfast too.

Shuttles were good and driver to the cruise port even gave us information about Tampa as we went like a tour guide which I've never had before. Breakfast had a good selection and Linda kept it replenished. Rooms are old and need updating and I told them about a slow sink drain and bathroom light not working (glad there was a shower window!) on checkout which they said they'd get right on. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a very good experience.

Worst room ever. This is the most stale mildew fungus filled room I have ever stayed in. You should not book people into this. I am cataloguing pictures of this. There is a ceiling light in the shower. This is not up to code and dangerous. Omg. I can’t believe this.

It accomplished what i needed it to do. Cleanliness is important for me, and for a midrange hotel for a night before the airport this is perfectly fine. Property is older, but clean, kind staff, room seems safe and secure, area seems safe enough. Neighborhood homes are fairly grand and seems affluent...streets are clean and lots of restaurant options. Yes, its old, carpets are a bit worn (wear flip flops/house shoes in a hotel anyways!!). Perfectly fine.

We stayed here during the Final Four due to hotel price gouging. This was way below our typical hotel level and we paid way more than this hotel was worth. The hotel is old and stuffy. And the noise level is terrible. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the street, including housekeeping. Would not recommend if you are used to better accommodations unless it’s for a single night before a cruise. Next time we’ll stay further out for better quality.
