    We've stayed in many rentals in the area. This was out first time renting through Hotels.com. the place was secluded, as advertised. However, there were no outside lights. (If there were they were difficult to locate or was ot working). Also, for the cost pwr nught , the place could use major updating. The bed was flimsy. Although the advertisement regarding the old stove cane across as nostalgic, the stove was simply pathetic and the place smelles liked leaking gas. There was no way I would have attempted to light the stove for fear we might have been blown to smithereens!!! Also, there was no TV. I'm not sure if that was mentioned. It should have been pointed out. The place and grounds need major updating. Again, for the price, I would not recommend and will not be staying again.

    Very private location and covered parking. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well equipped. No issues with check in or out, and good communication from the host. NOTE: this house did not have a television, which we didn’t realize until we got there. There is good WiFi so we were able to use our phones for entertainment, but no TV is really the only drawback. Would book again.

    Great little getaway spot. The bungalow is perfect for couple's looking for quiet time together but choose enough to fun and food.

    It was a very fun place to stay and a very fair price. It all had a very unique style and was nice being such a quiet and comfortable place to stay. Didn't deal with the staff much but when I did they were awesome got me all the info and instructions for my stay.

    Cute but needs some love.

    Cute little cottage not far from San Marcus. It appears as though at one time, the whole place was well taken care of but it seems to have fallen into disrepair. Great selection of books and some pieces to different board games. There is no TV or dishwasher, the towels were well worn, there was trash in the yard, and I never could get the ceiling fan in the bedroom to work. No laundry facilities and I emailed the owners with a question and they did not respond.

    I very much enjoyed my stay. The location and scenery are beautiful. Although close to San Marcos it feels like you are a million miles away. The check in and check out could not be easier. I am already looking forward to my next stay.

    I went with my family. The manager was really nice and helpful. It was a quiet area and beautiful. The house was clean and spacious. There is a lot of parking space. And we loved the yard. We made marshmallows at night and noted that there were no flies and mosquitoes which was perfect! There was also a cute little roadrunner that would guide us up the road toward the house. 10/10 would stay there again.

    I stayed at the bungalow, it has what is necessary to sleep. It does not have a TV. The road to get there is a little rough, nothing crazy but be careful with that:)

    The pricing was great compared to the hotels in the area. Wonderful location to my event. Cute stub tailed kittens outside that suckered me into getting cat food for them. Being out in the woods was great. Just needs an update on the signage. Bigger signs . Maybe more thrash cans. It was a great stay. Thanks.
