Great location for visiting all the surrounding tourist attractions. Staff was excellent and food was awesome (breakfast and dinner).

I was totally impressed with this hotel. I didn't expect the hotel to exceed my expectation for the price I paid. The location was good. It's about 30 minutes or so from Austin and less than an hour from San Antonio. There's so much to do around the area also. I had little interaction with the staff but the little I had they were great. This hotel offers a breakfast which was totally impressive and small appetizers everyday between 5ish-7ish pm which is great when your kids are starving and you're trying to get ready for dinner.

Enjoyed the hotel environment. The only MAIN concern I had was the extra blanket in the closet had a "hair" on it once I rolled it out. I just didn't use it, I folded the blanket up & put it back in the closet. Other than that, the overall experience was great. I didn't feel the need to address the issue because I just didn't use the blanket after all.

Always enjoy Embassy Suites. No problems here every thing was great.

The Hotel was OK but they will find anything to charge you more that what you are paying already for your room.

Our favorite part was the complimentary happy hour, and the very stocked breakfast bar. Will definitely be staying here again when in San Marcos. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Check in was prompt, staff was friendly and available. Room was perfect and clean. Enjoyed our stay.

Just an over--nighter so we could close down the Outlet mall next door..... but, the high standards, and roominess are impressive. Hotel was full, yet no waits or crowding experienced. A good job.

Very pleased with stay. Comfortable bed and great breakfast!

Everything that was great at the Emabssy Suites, still is. I didn't like being asked to show my room key during the happy hour and I don't like the the coolers at the elevators that you have to enter your code. I would rather not have them. Those kinds of things make feel like I'm being nickeled and dimed like I do at other hotels that I've stayed at when an Embassy Suites in not available. To date, I've stayed at the Embassy Suites in New Orleans, Tampa, Houston, San Anonio, McAllen, Atlanta, Austin, San Maros and in Chicago I stay at the Embassy Suites instead of my sister's place.

The amount of amenities this venue has in relation to their reasonable rates makes them a sure thing if you are staying in San Marcos. The place is brand new and has a resort feel as you walk in. They have on premise bar, restaurant, spa, conference center and coffee shop. I only stayed one night and showed up rather late. I was hungry and they sent a quesadilla to my room within 20 mins of arriving. My room was a 2 room suite with office desk and 2 tv's at a rate that most hotels charge a standard room. Breakfast in the morning was good. Made to order omelettes were a nice touch. Will stay again if in the area.

Hotel staff was most helpful and provided both insights to the area and directions to points of interest. We would stay there again, and recommend it to friends. This hotel is very well maintained and is within easy reach of Austin. The outlet malls were a couple to miles down the road and a big plus for my wife. Many free breakfasts are not worth eating but this one was a homestyle breakfast with plenty to eat.

We love this hotel! We have't been to the new ES San Marcos. When we walked inside we were stunned at how beautiful it was. The rooms are nice & roomy. The inly thing with the the room was that the air conditioner did not blow out cold air. I was up all night trying to adjust it. Also, the sheets were very stiff, not soft like I like. Some fabric softener might fix that problem. My daughter was kinda upset yhe pool wasn't indoor like at most Ebassy Suites. She really wanted to swim. Another plus is the Great Breakfast! We loved the omlets! Overall, this is the nicest hotel to stat at in San Marcos. It's really close to the outlet malls.

Perfect place to stay when picking your kid up from summer camp.

As soon as we checked in we felt that it was the right hotel for us. it was clean, the lobby was amazing, my little son loved to walk around the convention center hall!. Great! we definitely book this hotel again and again.

great place. reasonable rate. huge rooms.

Outstanding breakfast buffet! The lobby is beautiful! The rooms are attractive! Flaws: mold in bathroom, ice machine on floors empty, slow elevators, you can set the A/C thermostat to anything you want [does not make a difference...stays the same...don't believe there is control in your room [just appears that way] Too hot to enjoy.

The lobby was gorgeous. There were several functions ocurring at the hotel that weekend, and the lobby/reception area was a wonderful place to relax and people watch. The room was fantastic with lots of space. The restaurant served excellent steak. The free happy hour was a huge bonus!

It was everything we expect from Embassy Suites...that's why we stay at them...this one was first class....

Everything was great. The hotel is over a year old, so still has that brand new look and feel that is now a rarity in the San Antonio downtown area. Two bads though: access fee of $10 for wireless connectivity in the room seems to be over priced. If teh hotel is running ful, a very long wait line for order to cook breakfast option.
