Pet friendly and it smelled like pets. Old facility, tub moldy. Ants and roaches although some were dead. Won’t by trying any Super 8 again.

A decent budget choice for San Marcos accommodations. It could use some fit and finish touches and the carpet could use replacing fairly soon, but its a good value for the money.

People were drinking and playing loud music by the pool late at night. Rooms had stains all over the floors, walls, and ceilings. Was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but it obviously used to be a smoking room that was very heavily fumigated. I checked out 10-minutes after checking in and found a different hotel for the night.

Nasty room. Old coffee spilled in the fridge. ROACHES in the bathroom. Check out is at 11 and housekeeping kept knocking on the door from 9:00am. Entire room just dirty and smelly. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

The desk clerk was functional, the bed was made and there're wasn't trash anywhere but the floor didn't look vacuumed. The bathroom was decent except for the mold/mildew on the shower curtain and tile grout throughout the shower. I wasn't comfortable going barefoot on the carpet and wore shoes the whole time. We paid or 3 nights and only stayed one- we went to a different hotel. Other Super 8's were actual hotels you went into te main lobby to get to our room inside the building... This location is a work crew motel. I wouldn't recommend for families at all.

I requested a non smoking room and they said they only had smoking room. I have alleges so I could not stay in the room. We had to drive to San Antino because there was not any rooms in San Marcos. The front desk would not refund my room charges because I booked with O. He said good luck getting a refund from O. has a bad rep on refunding

Remote didn't work. Internet difficult. Message light on phone wouldn't turn-off and flashed through the night.

Very clean room and everything worked except the frig. The mgr. fixed it the next day. Too few electric outlets to connect my lap top. Too many steps up to the second floor. Continental breakfast was a bit slack so we went to a restaurant for breakfast. A little noisy next to the freeway. Otherwise, good location for business. Otherwise, good stay for the money.

Must of the people that visit San Marcos Texas has one of these 2 purposes: a) Visit a person or attend things related with the universite settle there; b) shopping at the oulets... Our purpose was the second one, so we need a clean and confortable hotel, with basic facilities for eating (small fridge and a microwave)... since we were all day long out of the hotel we just sleep and some times had a simple breakfast or dinner that we bougt and heated in the microwave and stored in the fridge. For that purpose the hotel was perfect. We arrive late at night and we get an upstairs room which was a problem for us because we have small kids (strollers) and a lot of shopping (the hotel was full), but we request if by tomorrow a room was abailable on first floor if they can swich us... and they did. The price was very convenient. The pool was clean (sadly the weather was not for pool). The cleaning was allways done on time, and maintainance was acceptable. What are the small things that these hotel has to improve: a) they need badly a car for luggage, specially on the area they are located were shopping is heavy) b) breakfast has very short time of offer c) very limited parking lot,.. but the rest is ok, and it has being my election on 3 of the last 4 times i have being in San Marcos.

The nice lady that checked us in was extremely welcoming and friendly! She made us feel right at home!!! The rooms were nice and cold and the parking lot was well lit.

This was a nice, comfortable hotel. Good location. The free breakfast was a bonus. Good value.

For a newly renovated Hotel it was shakey. Certainly a TWO STAR and that was generous. Office Staff were great...Breakfast so so if that. Towels etc clean and generous. Coffee and fixin's poor.

Stayed there for the weekend. The linens were not sanitary on the beds. The parking lot is inadequate. They wouldn't issue a partial refund to us even though we checked out early and leased the room to someone else. ..double dipping???

Traveled here for daughter's soccer game. I was very surprised at the comfort of the room, particularly the bed, which is key since I really only use the hotel for sleep. I was expecting to possibly see a bug, but I didn't - not even outside the room. The only surprise was the sound of a train waking me before 8 a.m. Actually, I heard 4 trains pass before 8 a.m. and I wasn't aware that there were RR tracks by the hotel. But for the price, I would give it another try.

The staff was very friendly. I checked in at 11 pm. I was put in an upstairs room, which was fine except they do not have an elevator. The highway noise is very annoying. It kept me awake most of the night. The room itself was pleasant, clean and neat. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, extra large screen tv and granite counters. The pillows were kinda hard. If you stay here request a room in the back, downstairs. I did not try out the "breakfast". But I did see a coffee machine and a waffle maker in the lobby. Overall I would stay here again. The rates were very reasonable for what you get in return.

We just get to the hotel every night after shooping, rooms were clean, coffe maker in each room let us have a good start and then at lobby we could have waffles, ceral, juice and milk.

We stayed in this hotel one night before going to Schlitterbahn for our anniversary. We were put in the first room and immediately asked to switch rooms. The first room was directly across from the pool and ice and soda machines. Very noisy within the first 5 minutes. The bathroom door did not have a latch and therefore did not stay closed at all. The bed was hugely depressed. Everything about the room was falling apart, especially the bathroom, which was so small. The second room was on the top level and was much better and quieter. It was also lacking in upkeep, but not quite to the same extent. The tiles were all cracked in the bathroom and there were broken/missing tiles around the tub faucet. It looked like a large animal had scratched the bottom of the tub. It was all peeling and terrible I refused to sit down and take a bath in it. The upkeep did not stop at the rooms, there was an a/c sitting on one of the walkways. The only nice thing was the staff was friendly and the lobby was clean and fresh smelling. I will not stay here again if I can help it.

Decent hotel; beds were really comfy but the bathrooms were a little dirty. Toilet didn't flush well. Tons of cable channels though.

HOTEL WAS PRETTY GOOD. STAFF WAS FRIENDLY. WE CAME FROM MONTERREY, MEXICO TO SHOP AT THE OUTLETS. WE DON´T COME FOR THE HOTEL, WE JUST STAY HERE TO SLEEP AND THE ROOM WAS PRETTY GOOD TO GET A GOOD NIGHT REST.

Very convenient location. Nothing special about the hotel, either bad or good. The shower was very slippery, but this is more due to the water supply (very soft water) than the hotel.

We are sorry about your stay. Very soon we are starting a project to renovate all the bathrooms. The next time you are in the area, the bathroom renovation will be completed!

Dear Guest, Thanks for your comments. I’m terribly sorry that we failed to meet your expectations in some ways at our always-improving hotel. Management and desk staff was reminded of their responsibility to see to it that our valued guests remember to be thoughtful of their fellow guests. Maintenance was informed of the unpleasant smell you reported in the room assigned to you and instructed to see to its elimination. We take real pride in this hotel and believe that pride shows in everything we do. I’m disappointed that we could not satisfy you, and I hope you will try us again in the future. We’re always working to make the guest experience better than ever before. Sincerely, Hotel Manager
