The property needs some attention. Our first room had no hot water and the second room, the plate around the shower head was falling down. Also, the pool area had a very limited amount of chairs so you can't really lay out in the sun. The staff was good and sent a bottle of wine to our room for the inconvenience of having to move rooms. The location was great and very close to Petco Park.
The area around the property is filled with homeless encampments. There is no validated parking for parking structures around property when the price of the hotel is over $400.
Everything was amazing.
My room was really dirty and run down. There was dust everywhere and the carpets were barely vacuumed. Under the bed was really bad. Also, the first day they "forgot" to clean my room even though I had asked for them to clean every day, when I found it was not cleaned they told me that the cleaning staff left at 4 even though I saw them still cleaning other rooms at 4:30. They also did not apologize or offer any explanation as to why my room was not cleaned. The room service is expensive and the food was not great, they charge $5 for a soda. Its right next to the ballpark and convention center but I would never stay here or at another Hard Rock property again.

Employees kept using employee room next to my room to smoke weed. The smell was extremely strong.
I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. When we arrived, the room smelled so bad like sewer that we almost left. They had engineering come and spray something to try to cover it up, which worked ok. Had we not been meeting another couple I don't think we would've stayed. They didn't offer anything to compensate for out trouble. Also, there are NO vending machines. The only option for any drinks or snacks are the extremely over-priced items in the room. The refrigerator didn't work well at all either. We will not being staying here again.
Horrible experience. Hotel was a disaster; most regrettable hotel experience ever, I actually disputed the charges.
