The cliffs are collapsing, and part of the patio is closed. Besides that, the hotel is nice, and safe, with excellent customer service, beautiful sunsets, and music.

Quaint, clean and comfortable right on the ocean.

So glad we discovered this gem. The staff was so friendly, pool was fun, and waking up to the sound of waves crashing incredible. It is just under a mile to Ocean Beach restaurants, but there are three great ones very close. Also loves morning walks on Sunset cliffs just south of the property. We will be back.

Having tables and chairs right on the edge where you could see the waves crashing on the rocks was amazing. It was so beautiful and you could watch the sunset from a place of comfort. We would definitely stay there again!

Gardens beautiful. Great ocean. Loved room 208. Perfect location.

The location by the beach and cliffs was so beautiful and I appreciated the beautiful gardens and grounds and chairs they had for us to see the ocean. The room was very small and campy and I fit as one person. The floor was coming apart in one area and my feet were dirty if I walked without shoes in the room. The ceiling light fixtures, one bedside lamp and both hinges of the bathroom door had a lot of rust on them. There is no parking lot and if you come back late, the designated spots on the side of the hotel can be full and you will need to find parking on the street.

I liked the closeness to the ocean and the patio and pool available. The 2bd suite was smaller than expected but clean. No elevators available only stairs which was an inconvenient for my elderly mother. The sound of the ocean at night was pleasing and calming. Over all we enjoyed our stay.

I will definitely be back! This place was like a mini paradise. Clean, cozy, comfortable and relaxing.

A cute little hotel right on the ocean and almost next to Sunset Cliffs park. The room was small but clean, and the staff were friendly, but a little too laid back. Had to ask to find out about the pool, coffee, ice, etc. We didn't swim but the pool looked nice and was clean. We would definitely go back.

This hotel has an amazing location, right on the ocean at the very edge of the scenic stretch of Sunset Cliffs. The hotel itself and the rooms are fine -- nothing fancy and maybe even a tiny bit run down. Beds in my rooms were beautiful, but the mattresses were very uncomfortable. But the room was very clean and, seriously, the location is amazing. You will hear the surf in your room. The staff working the lobby were really great. I had to request a room change to accommodate a friend who could not physically negotiate the stairs. The staff was wonderful - even offered to help me move. I can say that my first room on my first night had a very comfortable bed. But that second room, no. So I guess that part might be hit or miss.

Nice hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The only change I would recommend is to either install blackout curtains or have a set time that the courtyard and pool lights are turned off. The very bright lights made it hard to sleep. And really disappointing that the lower deck has been closed since January due to severe damage. Nothing was mentioned on the website

This is a great hotel. It is a little older and less modem than most out there, but this gives it great character. The view over the sunset cliffs is unbeatable. The pool overlookng the ocean is nice, and the gardens around the pool make it even nicer.
