Great hotel

We were slightly later than planned to check in but before the front desk closed. I felt that check in was rushed and seconds after they left, we had questions and returned to the office and no one was there--we used the phone to try and contact them to answer our questions (how to use the air conditioner, etc) and there was no response. We were able to get answers, but it took extra time. The room was great--there is a mini-split but only in the main room. It was cool while we were there so it seemed to work okay--but during a hotter time, I would worry about it being too hot. As the presence of air conditioning was a big factor in choosing accommodations on this trip, I wish they'd been a little clearer.

Well kept property with onsite owner, friendly. Nice equipped kitchen. Own personal hot tub on your porch, private. Minor issue with tv and channels. The two negatives were the smell of unit and no lamps, for reading. Not walkable area.

We arrived early, the building very easy to find. Our apartment was ready so we were able to get settled before heading out for the rest of the day. The accommodation was very new and very clean, the hot -tub a definite bonus, and the host was very friendly and helpful, giving us advice on tours etc to do during our stay which we followed and were glad we did!

I splurged on this place because of the laundry and the free bicycle. The manager/owner was extremely kind and accommodating, however the laundry machine did not work and there are not bikes available which needs to be updated in their advertising. The owner lent me their personal bike which as I said very kind— however the tires were flat and in the end it was unusable. I was counting on having the bike as transportation—I do not recommend staying here without a car! The laundry alternative was inconvenient and so while I appreciate the effort it was not remotely a 5star experience or worth the price— I spent my entire stay figuring out workarounds to what was advertised but not functional or there when i arrived. Searching past reviews, I’m not the only person who experienced this (constantly not working laundry) and a lot of the good reviews are for the kindness of the owners more than for the place— I would recommend the adjacent property w same owner/management for much better value.

A great location & very comfortably stay

This place provides all you need for any duration stay. The lodging is spacious, there is a wonderful 2-person private hot-tub on the patio, and a fully provisioned kitchen. It is also centrally located for all events in/around Rotorua. And we really appreciated the tea/coffee being replenished daily. I would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely loved it. Close to golf course. Shops nearby. Washer/ drier, great TV and hot tub , what more could you ask for? Ladies at reception were great, and helped me figure out oven instructions. Maybe need to put instructions in your manual?

Clean. Large space, comfortable beds. We hit a snag with our booking as the apartment I booked through Wotif was different than the one assigned to us at the location. When I queried it, management advised the photos and description of the apartment I booked on Wotif was not even of the 2 x bedroom unit that I booked but were of a 1 x bedroom suite! Property description and photos on Wotif of the 2x bedroom unit said own outdoor area and private spa, bbq etc however this is not what is at the property. 2x bedroom apartments do NOT have an outdoor area and private Spa or bbq. Management however were lovely to deal with and I’d still highly recommend, it’s more of a problem with Wotif. Things to note: there is a vent next to the property that makes it extremely smelly (yes I know it’s Rotorua) but the vent next door made the smell 10x times worse around the property! You may wish to stay elsewhere in Rotorua if you think you may find it overwhelming. Also to note: it is an area that we felt you definitely needed to be a bit extra security conscious.
