Great welcome. Beautiful, clean, comfortable room. Well appointed. Central location close to Lake Rotorua. Professional helpful staff. Helped us with tours and places of interest. Lake end room good location. Small view.
In my openion it is the bet hotel in Rotorua location and views , reception can be annoying sometimes but all in all is good , buffets are excellent idea but need more variety and it is over priced but I love to stay there and I will definitely go back
Central location to restaurants and attractions, friendly staff and very comfortable beds. The lake view rooms have nice views and quite. We walked along the lake front and felt safe. Free parking too!
Great location, 5 minute walk to lake and quite a few restaurants and shops. Good size room, with good view of lake. Room was very clean and up to date. Only problem we had was we had to wait maybe 15 minutes to get our room while other people checking in got rooms, maybe because we had a lake view room.
This is a lovely hotel. typical Novotel class. Great location near the water. Close to shops, parks, restaurants, etc. Free car parking at front of hotel. Check in & out good. Rooms excellent, good size, bathroom big. We had a Junior Suite king Bed with Lake View for 3 nights. On 3rd floor, views excellent over lake. Great bar area did not try the hotel restaurant. Could not fault hotel overall.
Novotel Lakeside Rotorua The Novotel is a standard fairly large hotel with a huge lobby and nice, but rather ordinary rooms. We had a large room that overlooked the lake and the views were lovely. The location of the hotel is excellent. You can easily walk to the lake, to the old Maori village, to town and decent shopping and to Eat Streat with it’s interesting collection of cafes and restaurants. Exploring the older part of Rotorua on foot was a wonderful adventure. Steam escapes from under ground and sprouts up in people’s front yards and on vacant lots. It’s a strange, sort of magical occurrence that we found spell binding.
Yet another Accor hotel that fell way below expectations. The fridge smelled and the water bottles were slimy. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the staff were unfriendly. Would not stay here again
We stayed on Sunday April 1st 2018, our 46th Wedding Anniversary. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. Felt sorry for them as it was so busy, yet they always had a smile and a positive word. We were given a Lake View Room which was really nice and clean. They gave us a large slice of Chocolate Cake which was delivered to our Room to help us celebrate. Thank you for that. Small gesture, big impact on us..
I stayed here March 10 & 11 with a friend. The room was comfortable with a view of the street below. Breakfast buffet was great with a wide variety of items. We had stayed at a number of hotels over the past 2.5 weeks and never have I received the terrific service that I received here. Check-in was quick and very friendly offering suggestions of local info. The manager on duty, Grayson, went above and beyond addressing my special diet by calling the Tamaki Village Tour to inquire about the meal for me. He also called Air New Zealand to check on my dietary restrictions and transferred the call to my room. I was so impressed by this exceptional service that I had never experienced in all of my world travels..
My husband and I were on a guided tour of New Zealand and we stayed her two nights. The room was comfortable and clean. The lobby was quite spacious. The hotel was near the water and the government gardens, so the hotel was centrally location. They also had a spa inside the hotel that was cheaper than the Polynesian spa.
