overall good value for the money, but the food could have been better. The dinner was included in the price and I signed for $220 for the 2 of us. we don't think the dinner was up to the value of $220.

all was good ,but they should offer more amenities in room. Room was okay and clean. Beds were done nicely. In our case they forget to put towels in bathroom and went to reception to collect it as phone was not working

I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour package for 2 nights and I have to say it was "standard", nothing special at all. The room itself was okay, but could do with updated and definitely needs air con! There were large windows to open to let in the air, however, other guests had balcony areas (my room did not) and liked to smoke outside, consequently there was a lot of running to the windows so the room did not stink (not great for a non-smoking hotel). Staff were pleasant, but did not go out of their way to do anything much - I was celebrating a birthday whilst staying here (which was noted on their books) but staff did not do anything to make this time feel "special" for me (I have previously stayed in other hotels that really go out of their way for you). The location of the hotel was also on the outskirts of town, with around a 30min walk into the center to Rotoura. Not an ideal location when, like me, you aren't travelling with a car. All in all, a "standard" hotel that really needs refurbishment and air con! Don't think I'd choose to stay again, there are plenty of other hotels which look a lot nicer and are in the center of Rotoura to stay in.

We stayed in the renovated part of the hotel which was lovely. Beds are so perfect we wanted to bring them home with us. Staff were absolutely stellar, they could not have been more helpful, amenities were great, didn’t try the pool but the kids said great things about it, 2 outdoor spas both clean and service and food was on point....I would definitely rebook. I am aware that there is stil renovations to do and accomodation isn’t as great in some areas however again I’d like to reiterating that our rooms on the 4th floor were simply lovely.

Recently stayed here for two nights, and on the exterior the hotel appearance would appear dated. The restaurant and bar area is well appointed, the food is great, service however is outstanding, from check in, restaurant and conference services, everything is no problem and done with a smile. The pool and outdoor area within the hotel is a fantastic touch, but the bed, oh so comfy!

The Copthorne Hotel is located in a good area of Rotorua. The room was small and outdated. The hotel is general needs an update. This hotel seems to be popular with the tour companies as multiple buses arrived while we were there and the common areas became crowded. Despite the large volume of tour groups, the staff handled things well and were very friendly.

We had a very lovely three nights in the Copthorne Hotel the food was delicious and nutritious presented very well enjoyable too. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious clean and comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was a one night business trip. The hotel was comfortable although the night's sleep was interrupted by a fire alarm call out. I saw no flames or smoke and wondered why this had occurred. I hope it was not one my fellow guests smoking in their room. I had breakfast included in my room rate and the selection of food was good.

Overall the hotel is ok. The room we stayed in however was very dated, ceiling fan only ran on 2 settings and did not do much, the wine glasses in the cabinet were very dirty. Shower in bathroom could certainly do with a revamp. On a positive note the bed was very comfortable and had a good nights sleep

I found a brochure for a guide called "Affordable Trout Fishing" in the hotel lobby and my wife and I had a free day. We booked and had a phenomenal day of fishing on Lake Rotorua and brought back one of our 16 that we caught. For $20 Chef Andrew at Jimmy Cooks Restaurant steamed it with plenty of lemons in foil. We paired it with an Oyster Bay Savaugn Blanc. It was amazing! And the wait staff and manager were very pleasant. Overall, a pleasant stay and experience (other than the restrictive Wi-Fi access).
