Quality does not come cheap. I received what i paid for. Binod came with an umbrella to receive us at the car park when the weather was terrible. The weather was not perfect but we enjoyed every minutes of our stay here. The rooms were warm and cozy while arriving at the resort and all the necessary amenities were included. It have a top class restaurant and bar at the site and again the service is at the top of its place. We did not used their spa facilities and could not comment on that. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The staff at Wai Ora were very accommodating, we had a very late arrival and were sent an email prior to stay to advise that there would be someone there to great us. The resort is nicely situated away from all other hotels/motels in Rotorua and only a short drive from the main attractions in the area. For the value, I feel as though this is a great option. The rooms aren't huge, but clean, comfy and one a beautiful lake. The air con was kindly turned on in advance of our arrival, which was a nice gesture on a very chilly night. Other important notes Wifi was good not great, service was outstanding and very consistent, nice looking restaurant in the resort (never actually tried it, but food looked great), hot pool was extremely relaxing and the service from the ladies in the spa was outstanding. Loved the little stream that runs behind the pools and trees surrounding the pools, feels very natural. Don't have any criticism which tells you a lot about Wai Ora, very consistent at a very reasonable rate.

We had a lovely time at Wai Ora. The staff were all absolutely amazing. The food was really yummy and the chef catered for my 'no gluten no dairy' diet brilliantly. The mineral pool had just broken but they gave us vouchers for the mineral pools at Hells Gate which we really enjoyed. Our room was small -might be worth upgrading to the suite if you want more space.

A two and half hour drive from Auckland, 10 minutes outside of Rotorua town centre. My partner and I enjoyed a winter break by the shores of Lake Rotorua. The rooms are small but the bed was very comfortable, clean, bathroom a good size. The winter weather raged outside but we felt extremely comfortable and cosy, especially after soaking in the hot mineral pools. Use of hot tubs, steam room and sauna was also included. Dinner in the restaurant was fresh and tasty of a bistro standard, a confident creative menu. Staff very helpful and friendly. Wasn't happy with an additional charge for free range eggs at breakfast (surely if McDonalds can do it for free Wai Ora can) and the loud radio playing in the diningroom during breakfast - I don't need to hear funeral advertising or grisly world news over breakfast while I'm relaxing. The reception staff pointed us towards the local Redwood Forest, a 5 minute drive away, stunningly beautiful and well worth a visit. We went in the rain and loved it. We didn't make use of the spa massage facilities as the prices were for tourists.

Rooms are compact, only way to view TV was by sitting on a small couch in the corner. The hot pools and amenities were fine. Picturesque setting and decent restaurant, although the menu was priced at the higher end.

My family and I came here today to relax and have a massage together. It was my sister and I's first ever massage, and man was it a great first experience at Wai Ora. The staff were AMAZING and really looked after us well. thank you very much for fitting us in today in such short notice, we appreciate you guys going out of your way for us. Thank you once again and will defiantly spread the word. ♥️

My partner booked a surprise anniversary, and I'd like to thank you guys for making it very memorable. The staff are amazing including the Spa and Restaurant staff. Thank you guys for making out stay very enjoyable. The service we received was top notch, the Massage/Spa was amazing! Annd the food ❤️. We will definitely be back in the future. Once again ngā mihi nui ki a koutou. Looking forward to seeing you guys again.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Service was brilliant. Very tranquil and surroundings were beautiful, the little we could see because it was very overcast and rainy. Food was outstanding and economical.

We had booked this restaurant for a birthday celebration as we had been here before and enjoyed beautiful food. When we arrived for pre dinner drinks as arranged prior at 7 Pm the bar was unstaffed.. we were told the staff member serving had just gone in his break .... what we were the only people there and they were expecting us. So the only other staff member on came out after a fashion to serve us drinks.... there were 12 of us. The service was very very poor and we had to keep asking for things like wine and could we please order a coffee. The food was okay but not up to their usual standard. We we go back.... probably not.

Me and my partner were treated by a family member to the Grabone Couples Package for our honeymoon. We arrived really late and were warmly welcomed in by Aayush at the reception. He was quick efficent and extremely helpful, even gave us a 5 star tour of the facilities with a smile and happy attentive attitude. This really set the warm welcome mood for us, he showed us the spa pools and saunas, where we will be dining for dinner and then carried our bags to our room and introduced us to our room - it was an absolute delight!! We settled in and enjoyed the extremely clean room with basic but modern features. The room was warm on arrival (it was really cold outside) so it was beautiful to arrive into a warm climate room. We dined in Mokoia restaurant that night and the food was absolutely fabulous. Cooked to our request (med rare steak), we were so spoilt and will defs return in the future. The following morning I booked my partner for a pregnancy massage and even though it was fully booked they managed to squeeze her in for the morning. Katie dealt with our pre checkout and massage booking and she was really helpful and made things work for us! Another mention is Semi who always had a smile and was attentive to our all needs. This goes along way and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are pretty guttered we are leaving today. I will not hesitate to recommend WaiOra to anybody who is looking for a very very clean, tidy, well presented facility with Rotoruas Best Hospitality Staff! Everyone is so happy, attentive, caring and always going that extra mile for an extra Smile! Thanks so much for making our stay an even more memorable one! We WILL be back!!
