We stayed for 2 nights at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Portland Airport, and overall the experience was just okay. The positives: the hallways were clean, our room had no odor, and the bed sheets were clean.
However, there were some negatives that stood out. Housekeeping did not come by to clean the room or pick up garbage during our stay. On our first night, there was a blackout, and the next morning the elevator was out of service. Since the hotel didn’t have a wheelchair available, my mom, who has a disability, had no choice but to walk up the stairs to our second-floor room, which was very difficult for her.
Breakfast was decent but nothing special. Another downside was being charged $10 per day for parking, which added up quickly.
Overall, the stay was manageable for two nights, but between the lack of daily cleaning, accessibility issues, and extra fees, it wasn’t as comfortable as we had hoped.
