We have just returned home after a week at the El Faro residencies over Christmas. We had an amazing time and the location really is picture perfect! The pool area is beautiful and kept spotlessly clean. There is a beach area too which the hotel have set sunbeds for use purely for hotel residents. The beach is not private though so be prepared for it filling very quickly. It is a beautiful beach which is kept clean and raked every morning. We had no problem with seaweed whilst we were there which was great. I think the winter months seem to get less than the summer months. The apartment 304 Coral - was beautiful and we had lots of space for our family of 5. You do get a sulfur smell every so often which other people had mentioned, but it wasn’t that bad and we have had the same when we have visited the Canary Islands. The sunrise’s are the best every morning and people arrive at the beach early to watch them. The sunbeds around the pool have towels put out early and people are not using them for at least half the day! We really struggled to get sunbeds for our family of 5 and even though they say towels will be removed after an hour if you are not there, we never saw one towel ever be moved. We managed to get sunbeds on the beach everyday but like I said it gets extremely busy. If you want a chilled week with beautiful surroundings then definitely stay here! We had an amazing time and our teenagers loved riding the waves in the sea! They also enjoyed the jet skiing!
