My trip was generally good, but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. The hotel itself was nice, though I found the Hyatt to be a much better experience overall. There were several dining options within the hotel, but their limited hours made it inconvenient at times. One major downside was the elevator—it made unsettling noises and had a noticeable bounce, which felt a bit unsafe. The bed was also uncomfortably firm, leading to back pain during my stay. On the plus side, the hotel was clean, and the food was decent, though nothing particularly memorable. I had to walk to the Hyatt for part of my trip, and while I personally didn’t feel unsafe, I did notice a significant unhoused population in the area. Some individuals approached me early in the morning asking for money, which made me uneasy about the idea of my wife walking alone, especially given the visible signs of drug use in the vicinity. Check-in was quick and efficient, though impersonal—I was simply handed a key without any information about the hotel or its amenities. Throughout my stay, I found the staff rather disengaged, as they didn’t offer morning greetings or any form of interaction. Overall, while the hotel had its positives, the combination of an uncomfortable bed, a concerning elevator, and a lack of warm service makes me unlikely to return.

The experience at Plaza Hotel was horrible. First, they put us in the wrong room that was dirty with twin beds instead of our two queen beds. We then asked, and they fixed it. So now we had a room that was adjoining with another room that at night the people were partying in. We tried to call and got no answer all day and night. When we approached them about this, their excuse was that the phones must not be working. At night, ohhh, be prepared for this: the roaches come out in the bathroom. We tried to get a refund from Expedia, who also tried to call the Plaza Hotel, and to this day, no answer. This is not a child-friendly hotel, especially for where it’s located.

Weird old room smell, remote batteries dead, barely warm enough shower, fridge that doesnt reach sub 40 degrees, charging me for parking (just roll it in to the room cost, nobody wants to be nickel and dimed), parking far from elevators, overpriced average food in lobby ($24 breakfast buffet lol)

Not updated. Breakfast buffet was dirty with bread leftovers on the tray and we found hair there! Soundproofing is extremely weak and you hear all noises in the room thinking the people are inside the room! Restaurants food quality very minimal. It is an acceptable 3-star hotel. As a frequent traveler, I do not know how they got 4 stars.
