We just checked into the hotel..the room has everything you need for a family stay. All you need to do is walk with your foodstuff. Clean, spacious (family room) so you can relax and not feel cramped. Separate rooms for kids and adults. Will post an update at the end of our stay. Pictures attached for reference.
My experience at this property couldn't have been better. Even during the stress of waiting for Hurricane Irma, the management and staff were amazing!! They went over and above to be sure guests were happy and safe. They provided extra complimentary meals since area stores and restaurants were closed. I met Karen, the Operations Manager in the dining room as she was helping the staff set-up for the evening meal they were serving. Karen was not just directing, she was hands-on working. She seemed to be working everywhere I went. Great job Karen! I would also like to mention the hotel manager Mark was at the front desk almost every time I was in the lobby. He was so helpful and kind! I doubt he slept much during this time. I was amazed at how much staff was present before, during and after the storm. I mentioned to one of the employees that I was so sorry he had to work during the storm. He happily responded that the management provided him and his family a room at the hotel so he could work and not worry about his family. No wonder there were so many happy employees!!! My suite was great! It was very clean and well appointed. Housekeeping staff did a great job keeping rooms well stocked during the storm. After the storm, I stayed a few extra days to avoid the traffic back to South Florida. The front desk gladly extended my reservation and matched the rate I had been paying!! The hotel is in a great location for visiting Disney and other Orlando theme parks. Disney Springs is only about 3 miles away. I enjoyed my stay at this property so much that I told my son it is my new Disney Hotel! I would highly recommend this hotel. I will surely stay here anytime I visit the Orlando area. Great job at customer service to each employee that I came in contact with! You were all awesome. Thank you!!
Let me start by setting up the situation. We left Miami on Friday, 9/8 due to Hurricane Irma which was forecast to make a direct hit on Miami. We have a dog and have never traveled with him. So this was a first. We wanted to come to central Florida and get away from Miami or the coast. At the last minute, we did a search online and Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista came up. I called to get their pet policy and Dan the front desk manager took my call. He was great. He assured me that our dog was welcomed and that all pet charges were being waived because of the Hurricane. WHAT? This was a great! When I arrived, Dan was at the front desk and checked me in. I also wanted to change my 2 night stay to 3 nights. He checked and had it available. He also let me know that they had extra dog food and pee pads if needed. Talk about pet friendly. I fell in love with this place just by the check in. The staff here is AMAZING. They all smile and greet you every time. The make conversation with you and make you feel part of their family. We had breakfast this morning and they had all that you really need to start off your day. Eggs, Sausage, Toast, bagels, cereal, even tortilla to make a breakfast burrito. Coffee and juices. All you care to eat. Perfect. The staff here were also AMAZING! Caring and comforting with the hurricane situation. ROOM: We loved our 1 bedroom. (Keep in mind, this was 3 days of basically living in the room, no Theme parks) The room was super comfortable. Super clean. Full kitchen with dishes and glasses and all you need to enjoy a meal. Had a great desk which I used to work on my laptop and to type up this review. Yes…we are on day 2 of 3. They had EXCELLENT WIFI. Bed was super comfortable and the sheets were soft and smelled great. 2 TV’s and cable channels. Our dog totally enjoyed the cold floor in the kitchen area that had no rug. POOL AREA: We did not use the pool, but had a pool view. It looks like a nice area to enjoy the Florida sunshine. DOG WALK: They have a nice dog walk area next to the basketball court. You have a circle you can walk on and the dogs can do their thing. They have the stand to hold the doggie bags to pick up their “poop”, but no bags. I did bring shopping bags, but I wish other dog owners would also pick up after their dogs. LOCATION: Disney Spring is about 10min away. The parks are about 15-20 min away. And Palm Parkway has a ton of restaurants options which is around the corner. LOBBY: Super modern. They have a small game room and small market with all kinds of things you can use in your kitchen. From wine and beer to Ice cream! It is not cheap, but it is convenient. We come to Disney 7 to 10 times a year. And if you look at my reviews, the past 5 years we have only stayed on Disney Properties. Well Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista is now on our list of places to stay. The level of service is up there with the best resorts. The quality of the property is very good. I recommend Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista to all who are looking to stay. I plan to come back but next time for a Disney Vacation. THANK YOU RESIDENCE INN.
We were back for a second time this year and wanted to be in the same room we were in during our first trip. Theresa at the front desk told us that the room we were interested in would not be available until the next day. She said she could check us into another room for (1) night and ensure that we could check into our preferred room the next day. Theresa went above and beyond to communicate with us and other staff members to ensure that we were taken care of. Also, the entire staff goes above and beyond to make us feel like we are at home. The hotels pet policy is amazing! The hotel is very pet friendly and we did not have to worry about our animals while we were at the parks.
From the reservations all the way to checkout class A service second to none. The rooms were very spacious and confey. The breakfast was outstanding and catered to everyone. I truly cannot wait to go to Orlando again so me and my family can back and stay at this hotel. Thanks for a lovey time.
front desk is very warming and nice his name is cris, he is very helpful and welcoming at check in, all the staffs are very courteous and respectful and feels like we are part of their family, everywhere we see them they always greet our family with a smile, bfast is really good, hotel with 1 bedroom suite is wonderful, bed is comfy and the pillows and towels as well, the only downside is they dont have the pool ready for us for the week we were there but was able to swim on the other hotel, we missed it and the pool amenities, will definitely stay here again. they even offered light dinner. this is a very clean hotel esp. with our kids.
My family is involved in foster parenting. As can happen, we can suddenly get a last minute call asking us to take in children. This happened to us ahead of our weekend getaway to Orlando that included a stay at the Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista. The room we had reserved wasn't big enough to handle us all so I called the hotel looking to move up to a larger family suite. When I explained our situation, the receptionist put me on hold and spoke to the hotel General Manager; Mark. Upon her return, she shared that the hotel would upgrade us to a 2 bedroom Family Suite and do so at no additional charge. WOW, my heart jumped. Kids in this situation rarely get to experience a weekend away like this and for the hotel to make this gesture spoke volumes as to their empathy and giving spirit. Please keep this in mind as you search for a family / extended stay hotel near Disney world. As a diamond member with Hilton, I'll certainly remember this kind offering from a Marriott property.
Everything super well we had a great time it was a pleasure to be very well attended by Yamiles of housekeepping and the ladies of the breakfast Leonides, Alma, Maria 😀the supervisor in the front desk it's very friendly it's a pleasure staying at your hotel .
Would have rated this higher overall but for the fact that the pool wasn't available for half our stay. The hotel had tried to arrange an alternative next door but the pool wasn't as nice, it was always really busy as was servicing multiple hotels and there was no wi-fi which is one of the main factors that saw me choose this hotel. Otherwise I found it hard to fault - location was excellent, the room was probably the best we've had in Florida and the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. I appreciate pool maintenance is necessary but would have liked to be notified in advance that it was due to happen.
15 mins drive to disney's animal kingdom... 19 mins drive to Universal studios and an hour's drive to Kennedy space center .... we stayed in studio king room for 4 days/5 nights and it was very comfortable. We had our own kitchen setup there and with complementary breakfast, we were all set !!! There are many nice restaurants and grocery shops near by.
