Great place to stay but in need of renovations. The rooms are ok. You are paying for the location.... close to everything !!! Has a lot of potential !! Great service and an excellent location.
The only 3 positive things are pet friendly, walking distance to casino, cheap. Cheap for a reason cause there were maybe only 3-4 occupants while we were there. Lots of trash around the outside areas. The actual room was dirty and old and moldy. We knew what we were getting into cause of price but it needs to be said for future clients.
Is not enough clean, and the services is ver y poor, i do not like this hotel and i do not plan to go any further.

The exterior of this motel was shabby with trash in some areas. Dirty plastic tables and chairs were outside each room with dirty ash trays. The first room we were given reeked of smoke. The second room had a strong urine smell. The mattress and box springs sat on discolored plywood frames on the old, ragged carpet. The sheets were clean but the blankets were pulled and dirty. There were holes in the ceiling with toilet paper stuffed in them. The door was filthy and difficult to open and close. This hotel looked like a ratty place which rented rooms by the hour. Needless to say, we left without even worrying about a refund. The stuff of nightmares!

Location of this hotel wins it 5 stars. The first stay at the hotel was kind of less then average. We stayed in the smoking room first floor pool view (not so good). Second time we stayed on the third floor city view, a lot better experience, cleaner room, non-smoking. The only minus was not having and unavailability of refrigerator.
Hotel is very old and outdated ... Would have been nice to stay here in 1990 , room was ok but not very clean .... I would stay here if everything else is too much ...
The Rainbow Motor Inn has a nice name but that is it. In every nook their is more dirt and the staff are lazy, unprofessional and indifferent. They refused to review the bill at check-out . I still don't know what they billed me! The room had dirty towels from the previous guests that they tried to say were washed. The blankets I drove to the laundrymat... the dirt was so bad. The 1980's T.V. did not work and 2 promises to fix it were just false . There was one telephone for all guests to share and kept in a storage room for upstairs. The rainbow café in the picture is not a café it is a dirty storage room. The attached to the pool was a whirlpool that did not function and was filled with rusty, dirty water and garbage. The air conditioner in my room partially worked but the direction turns where broken and it had many years of filth collected on it. The facecloths we stained. It was just so very blatant that the people running this place did the absolute minimum to maintain and upkeep this dirty squalor masking as a motor inn...while trying to squeeze every penny they could out of it. Of all budget motels I visited in Niagara Falls it was by far the dirtiest and worst maintained. Don't let the picture or name fool you as it did me...The rainbow motor in meets no acceptable standard of a budget motel in my view.
Hotel is located in a great location, however, the shower didn't work well. The air conditioner was dirty the box springs had stain and one of the bed felt as if it was going to fall apart. The room felt as it hadn't been clean. The wifi didn't work in the room but it would outside. But then again it was only to sleep and it was not expensive.
I stayed at this place over memorial day weekend with hubby and kids. If you are vacationing to spend time in a motel/hotel, this might not be the place for you. If you are there to see Canada this is a good deal. I will stay here again. Front staff was friendly, courteous and tried to help us when they could. Hotel looks run down and something out of Forest Gump, but we toured Niagara all day and went there to sleep, 3 nights with 3 kids under 9. I slept well, no bed bugs. We had a nonsmoking room. TV and shower worked. WEGO stop was very close. The hotel had free parking which was major in that area. The Price fit our budget and we were able to do things in Niagara would we not have if we had stayed somewhere expensive. Face it, unless you have money to throw away, there is no use staying somewhere really expensive if you are only going to be in the room to sleep/shower. As I said, I will stay here again. There are a few things I look for in a motel: no bugs, no smoke smell and close to attractions. This one met those requirements. Who cares about the color of the carpet matching the bedding. I could care less.
