Well maintained, beautiful facility within one block of streetcar line and restaurants. Very chill pool scene was a great way to take a break from the tourist action of NOLA. Room was clean, but housekeeping skipped our room twice during a 6-night stay. King bed with loft room was comfortable and spacious, but the window goes to an indoor courtyard, no daylight in daytime, nor darkness at night.

Loved everything about the Garden District Hotel. Bar was lovely, room was clean, bed was comfortable. Walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants on Magazine Street.

A beautiful boutique hotel with great staff. My only issue was the very sad shower pressure. Finding any good shower pressure in New Orleans is a challenge, but this was much worse than normal (even for NOLA). The shower heads were calcified and the head in general had no pressure. I had to book a last minute blow dry and shampoo at a local spa because I couldn't get the shampoo out of my hair after 30 minutes of trying.

We were told staff would greet us at the front and take our bags to the room. We had to take our bags up a flight of stairs. The receptionist saw us waiting to check in and kept talking to another person instead of checking us in, the other person was not checking in. Room service opened our room at 9 am when were still asleep and check out wasn't until 11 am. Hotel was clean but service was poor.

The property is clean and beautiful. It has an amazing pool. We stayed during the slow season in New Orleans, so the property was quiet. The hotel advertises their swim up bar, but it was not open during our stay. They did have a walk-up bar, however. They also open the pool to the public for a fee, making it more crowded than it would be with guests only, but loungers are reserved for guests. The design of the hotel is gorgeous. Our room was a bit small, but comfortable and clean. The bar staff at the pool is friendly and Amiya,(sp?) the front desk employee, was our absolute favorite. She was friendly and warm the entire stay. She walked us to our room, and was very pleasant to speak with throughout our week there. Should we return to New Orleans, we would stay at The Garden District Hotel again.
