I booked this hotel 20 minutes outside of town because it had a swimming pool (they use it in their cover photo). Upon arrival I was told the pool is closed. Since there are many nice hotels in the same price range in beautiful central Montreal, the only thing that could make this hotel worth being on the outskirts of the city is if you wanted it closer to the airport or in my case, wanted the pool. So that was a big disappointment to not be notified by the hotel. If you dig into the description it did say the pool was being renovated, but that completion, according to them should have happened two weeks before our arrival. No apology was given. I feel even if they had given a beverage voucher or a restaurant discount that would have felt much more professional. Speaking of the restaurant, we paid $81 for 2 simple salads, 1 order of fries and 2 beverages. Earlier that day we had a similar meal, of higher quality and better tasting, in beautiful central Montreal and it was half that price. Lastly, our room had an unpleasant odor. So, I definitely do not recommend this hotel.

The airport shuttle service was great. Friendly staff and helpful workers. The sofa bed was a bit bent, and we had to call reception for them to bring bedding for it (in spite of booking the room for 4 people). Door key didn’t work, so had to have them fix that as well. Very clean, and nice towels, hot water, toiletries and coffee. We didn’t use the pool, etc, as we just stayed one night in transit.

The hotel was under renovation, so the building and lobby were a disaster. The lot, particularly at the back of the building was scary with garbage everywhere (not renovation garbage, just garbage. The main door to access our room was not working, so we had to park further away. There's only one elevator and this is a super long building. We were at the back and it didn't make sense to use the elevator; although our bags were heavy. The room was very nicely renovated, but the finishing was not so good, AND THERE WERE NO OUTLETS ON THE HEADBOARD WALL. Couldn't plug in my CPAP or phone or anything. They provided a series of short extension cords so I could use my CPAP ... but this room was already renovated.

When I was staying at this hotel, I parked my car in the hotel’s parking lot and gave my car number to the reception. But in the morning, I saw that my car had been stolen — and they didn’t care at all. Terrible staff. Lazy security guard. Awful experience. I’m 100% sure the security guard and staff were involved.
