We just got home… If you are looking at this place and it fits your thing, Do it Now!... Thea’s home is it… The home is nicely appointed and very comfortable. Kitchen has everything. The landscaping is well matured and is just a blast to be around. This home feels like it belongs in Mill Valley. The neighborhood is great. Felt very safe. Lots of kids, people waking, nice landscaping, quiet at night. It felt great and safe to be there… And then, If you’re not staying in SF, this area is great as you can easily get into SF, you’re near the Mountains, Beaches, all the cool peninsula cities, a great launching point. There is a Good Foods Market a few min away, coffee and pizza! Everything was so easy to get to. We just had a great time staying at Thea’s and would definitely do again. To note Thea was also great with communication. The whole thing was great and it’s nice when things are smooth and work.

This property is a down home cozy cottage with a laid back vibe. The back doors open to a charming garden full of fruit bearing trees and succulents. The backyard accesses a playground through a private gate which is great for families traveling with children. We invited over another couple for dinner and used the outdoor grill-- a convivial atmosphere. The owner kindly provided a high chair for our little granddaughter who was staying with us. The owner was very responsive and helpful and even helped us locate a jacket that had been accidently left behind.

Thea is a responsive a great host. The location is central to much of Marin! Walkable to some great restaurants, cafes, and awesome grocery store. Nice park for kiddos outback. Well kept landscaping and backyard. The house is well kept.

Great location for visiting both SF and Marin. Generous living room and dining room. The upstairs bedrooms and bath were closed off for our visit but the house could easily accommodate a family of 4 to 6. The kitchen came with all the appliances anyone needs. The furnishings of the other rooms a bit dated The best part of it all was the substantial and gorgeous landscaping.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is superb and within walking distance to the Good Earth where there are all kinds of prepared organic food you can take “ to go” as well as - a coffee barista inside the store which makes for a nice morning stroll to get coffee. The property backs a small active kid/dog park. The neighborhood is very kid friendly and we enjoyed hearing the laughter. Since we have small dogs and it is important to us that the yard be fully and securely fenced-in and it was. There are sidewalks to walk your dog and the neighbors are friendly. The property is very close to many attractions such as: Muir Wood, Stinson Beach, San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge and all the quaint towns of Marin. One key thing for us was that the beds be comfortable and they were. Both bedrooms and living room had TV’s. The TV was easy to use. The living room has three oversized sofas. There’s an air conditioner that worked perfect. The dining room is spacious with a large table and view to back garden. The kitchen is also well-equipped with all you need. Washer/Dryer worked great! The bathroom is on the smaller side but adequate with a tub/shower combo set-up. The host was responsive via text and cared about our experience. It’s a nice country house within a stone’s throw to everything.

We had a wonderful experience staying in Thea's home with our toddler! It was the perfect location, backing up to an awesome playground with a wonderful backyard. They even left a pack and play, high chair and stroller. Instructions were incredibly clear, communication was responsive and easy and the home itself was very clean with anything we could ask for (including peanut butter!). We hope to come back soon!

Wonderful house and garden

We spent the last days of a longer USA trip in this wonderful house. We enjoyed everything.San Francisco ganz in der Nähe und eine herrliche Umgebung in der Bay Area. Sehr gute Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin!Wäre es nicht so weit, würden wir bald wiederkommen!Absolut zu empfehlen!

Relaxed and comfortable home in a great location

This was our second stay in Thea's place. We find the home to be incredibly comfortable and it has a laid back vibe that suits us very nicely. Location is great for sightseeing, as it is relatively close to West Marin, San Francisco, Sonoma/Napa and the Marin Headlands. We hope to return some day. Oh, and we absolutely love the garden - it is a gorgeous oasis!

Peaceful retreat

Great Visit to Marin County

We were in Mill Valley for a big family celebration. Our family of five (two adults, three kids - age 11, 15, 16) stayed at Thea's place. We had a great time. It was comfortable for all. The garden is beautiful. The location is ideal. So central to so many great locations. We enjoyed meals in Mill Valley and Sausalito. Hikes to Mt. Tam and Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Muir Woods. And day trips to SF and up the coast to Stinson Beach, Bolinas and Point Reyes. We also just enjoyed hanging out and cooking at "home" at Thea's cozy house, especially at the dining room table with beautiful views to the garden and in the back garden. Bedding, beds and furniture were comfortable. My 15 year old son slept on the pull put couch in the in the living room. He said it was comfortable. Kitchen and laundry room were efficient, convenient and well stocked. At times, five people and one bathroom was challenging, but we knew ahead of time this was the case and made it work. Communication with Thea was excellent. Thanks for a great stay. We hope to come back!

Great spring break

Stayed in Mill Valley do to some hiking for spring break - close to Muir Woods and city is right around the corner. Easy to find, very convenient. Access to playground was a surprise and exciting for the kid. Highly recommend, we had a wonderful trip!

A wonderful retreat

We had a fantastic stay at Thea’s home! The house was charming, inviting, and fully stocked with all the essentials for a perfect weekend getaway. The location was absolutely beautiful—nestled in a lovely neighborhood and just minutes from incredible hiking trails.Thea was a wonderful host—very responsive and accommodating. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep after a day of exploring. Anyone with children or grandchildren will love the gate at the back of the property. It opens directly into a nice park with a big toy for climbing, swings, etc. The neighbors and children were friendly, and the house itself was set up perfectly for the family birthday party we gave our 3 year old granddaughter. Enjoyed the proximity of Belvedere, restaurants etc. A winner.

Enjoyable Thanksgiving week

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Mill Valley property. The house is conveniently located and plenty of space for our family. It is well appointed, and Thea was very responsive when we contacted her.
