Cabin was nice and clean. Location was quiet & relaxing. We had a few issues. The basement was a really nice space that we wanted to spend some time in. We couldn’t get the heater or the TV to work. I messaged the host twice about the issues and never got a response. They had been very responsive when we checked in and had a few questions so I’m not sure what happened. The hot tub was operational but definitely in need of a repair or upgrade. Overall if the basement issues were addressed we would definitely stay again. Really great with a better hot tub!

The cabin was spacious and clean. Very quiet location. Lighting in kitchen is a bit dark making it challenging to prepare meals inside. Outdoor gas grill burner elements rusted out and not working, and charcoal grill was missing grate making it unusable. Perhaps consider removing hot tub and providing more suitable outdoor cooking and sitting options. Otherwise, a great location while visiting Hocking Hills.

The cabin wasn't as clean as we expected. The Gas grill was in really bad shape as only two of the burners worked and they didn't work well. The grill should of been replaced a long time ago. Jacuzzi wasn't fully working. Sink in half bath was leaking. Bed was quite old(mattress). Shower in bathroom upstairs was hard to shut off all the way. Kitchen wasn't fully stocked as previous cabin's we have rented in Hocking Hills. The spiral staircase was difficult to go up and down.

Seems like the Cabin was a new build, but there were things that made it a 6/10 for us. There was an old bathtub right out front, the back fire pit only had the one chair, the burners on the grill are burned out.

Beautiful, well-appointed home that was perfect for our anniversary getaway. The pictures don’t do it justice. The two decks off the back of the house, the fire pit and swing, hot tub and hiking trail into the woods just added to the amazing experience we had. We are life-long Adirondack vacationers and this compared in every way. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our time here. We had come to catch up with a family member and his wife as well as explore the local area and do some hiking. Found plenty of interesting things in the surrounding areas and the hiking was incredible. The cabin was nice and view out back peaceful. We felt a few simple upgrades would have helped make our stay even better. The upstairs couch was super worn and sagged through the middle which was a bummer as we spent a lot of our visiting hours here as it was next to the kitchen. Need to replace the spoons in the silverware drawer. We found only two. The towels were very thin and shed pretty easily which we all got a lot of laughs out of as we were picking fuzz off each other after showering. The downstairs bed frame was shaky and creaky and we ended up placing mattress on floor to get some sleep. Lastly some dish towels and washcloths would have been helpful. All that being said we still liked the cabin and our stay here. None of the items listed were dealbreakers….just some things to consider for future guests.

We have stayed at a lot of different cabins in Hocking Hills,this was by FAR the worst. Bring an Army cot would be better than either of the beds we slept in. Thermostat was not working called about 30 mins after getting there said a guy would call us back NOPE never heard back from anybody. STAY away from this place Upstairs furniture was really bad Have throw better out . old bath tube setting in the yard. Was probably nice in it prime but that was a long long time ago. Not taken care of at all. Go somewhere else there are a lot of very nice cabins around that area for the same price. Patio cushions were black and molding

Check in there was supposed to be a lock box on the outside and there wasn't, we tried calling the property managers and couldn't get ahold of them so we sat there for awhile not knowing what to do. Took awhile to get back in touch with them to figure out how to get in the house. House was really nice, only issues was there was a lot of bugs, so seemed as wasn't vacummed recently in the corners of the floors. Might help to spray for bugs. Only other issue was the beds, they really need new frames on the beds. They were so loud and squeaky every time you moved in the night it would squeak so loudly so we didn't sleep that well with it being so noisy. Other than that the house is really cute and nice for the area.

Friends Vacation in Hocking Hills

Had a great time. The Cavalier Cabin was perfect for traveling with another couple. There's bedroom and full bath upstairs and another bedroom and full bath downstairs which made for a nice division of space. Had great evenings on the upper deck and firepit down in the yard. The cabin had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

The cabin was beautiful except it’s not great for older people like us. The spiral stairs were a bit intimidating. Anywhere you walked was a bit steep. The hot tub had a cement block to get in and out of with, also not good for our age. It was definitely beautiful!
