We were really excited to stay at this hotel, but unfortunately the check-in experience was disappointing. When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk for about 20 minutes. We tried waiting, calling out, and even calling the hotel phones, but one phone had the volume completely down and the other was very low.
Eventually, my boyfriend had to go find another employee, and that’s when we learned the receptionist was in another room with both AirPods in and didn’t hear anything. When we were finally assisted, the interaction felt neither friendly nor welcoming, which added to the frustration after the long wait.
Once checked in, things moved along, but the initial experience set an unfortunate tone for our stay. I hope management addresses this, as timely service and a welcoming attitude are important parts of hospitality.
