While we love the hotel, suite was good and staff was great, I wish we had known that there was an Islamic conference with families Christmas and thru the weekend. There were unsupervised children running all over the place. They weren’t unkind but they were loud running up and down the halls all over the lobby and using the exit stairs banging the door each time that was next to our room. We have nothing against children. We have raised 5 and have 10 grandchildren, who would never act like these children in a public place as they would always be supervised by an adult. Also i don’t know how many people were in the room above us but there was banging and jumping all night long. All of this being said, even though we did not have a relaxing stay, we will stay again, but will call prior to reserving to see if there is a similar family conference at the hotel. We never imagined this type of thing on Christmas. It was also unsettling that everyone was speaking another language and not English by so many people. It is what it is and we didn’t complain at the hotel but wanted someone to know that we were really uncomfortable.

The staff I interacted with was great. I have always enjoyed my stays there for years. There was an issue this time. I chose the .12 noon checkout and put the do not disturb hangar on the door, hoping to sleep in to about 10:30. Instead I was awakened by the cleaning crew vacuuming out side my door and making noise around 8:30 am. It seemed they could care less about the customer. This is my first bad experience there.

Wyndham Gettysburg is our favorite place to stay when we are in Gettysburg. Downstairs has just been renovated snd is beautiful. Restaurant is great with a wonderful menu. Beds were comfortable which is an important thing for me. Entire hotel is clean. Rooms could use some bathroom renovations but I understand that’s coming. Town and battlefield are just s short drive. I recommend this hotel for a great comfortable stay.
