The Lodges at Gettysburg

We wished we could have stayed more than one evening. It's hard to find a place that can accommodate our family in a suite. Our two-room suite with kitchenette was the perfect environment for our 4 young kids. There is a rustic feel to the cabins, but all of the modern amenities a family needs. Great place!

We have stayed with family in Fairfield many times but decided to stay here for some privacy and loved it--such a pretty setting, great staff who were very familiar with the area and gave great directions, and recommendations. Will stay again when in the area.

Perfect place to spend the night during a short ski trip to liberty! Very convient. Rooms were very spacious and overall it was an excellent value.

The "room" was essentially a small house that was rather quaint including creaking hardwood floors and "antique" furniture. The kitchenette was more akin to condominium-style than the typical hotel style. The location was very quiet, but it is in the middle of nowhere though very near (6 miles) Liberty Mountain. We may use again in the future.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay for two nights at the Lodges of Gettysburg this past weekend. We were attending a rehearsal and wedding that also took place at the Lodges of Gettysburg and stayed at Coroporal Quarters in the New Hampshire lodge. The room was very clean and comfortable and it was easy to get to downtown historic Gettysburg. The only negative comment I have to make is that the walls were very thin and we could hear our neighbors quite loudly which was especially annoying in the morning. Overall, we found it to be a great value.

LOOK OUT! If you think you are going to get the actual photo you see, you wont. A real bait and switch deal. I booked the room thru an internet booking company. Several days BEFORE we left to spend a few "quiet" days at the lodges, I called and specifically asked the desk attendent if we were booked in a lodge "like you show on your site". Yes, absolutely! I was told. I was quite excited, They LOOK so nice. Forget it. They put us in a room about 10 by 16 foot, one chair (really, one chair), and a bath room. Looked nice, NOT what I asked for and NOT what the Lodges at Gettyburg told us we were getting. Incredible rip off. Incredible. So, I'll fight to get a refund, but Lodges at Gettysburg just bought some really serious bad adverising for years to come. Dont forget ear plugs, the walls are paper thin. The room we were in had NO hot water until we figured out that the shower controls were installed backwards, hot was cold and vice versa. Serious BAD stop. We've stayed at Quality suites and the Rennasance Inns in Gettyburg before,,,Awesome Hotels, top shelf rooms I travel extensively, Lodges at Gettysburg was one bad experience

Nice room, but the toliet had flushing issues. They cannot say they didn't know about this because they left the plunger there...Other than that, it was a nice room for the evening.

We picked this place for a short Gettysburg vacation because it looked like a place where you could go and relax. It was perfect for us. Great view of the countryside, the cottages are clean and quiet, and the staff is friendly and helpful. It's close enough to the Battlefield and sites that the ride over is short. If you are looking for a great get away this is the place.

My husband and I stayed at The Lodges in Gettysburg and loved it! The room was very clean, beds were comfortable and overall was a great place to stay. It is off the beaten path which was very nice. We did find that you could hear the "neighbors" but nothing that disturbed our stay. Would highly recommend and stay there again.

Only went for a one day affair so arrived at the lodges the night before. Staff was polite at time of arrival and room was clean and private. A perfect location for relaxation. Loved the style of the lodges. Only issue we had was at the lake, it either wasnt well stocked with fish or perhaps we were using the wrong bait lol. Otherwise our short stay was good. (Can't comment on the breakfast as we did not go).
