1863 Inn of Gettysburg

It was a clean motel working distance to Gettysburg attractions. Nothing really special to be honest with you. Room is very dark but couldn't leave our curtain open because there is smoking area and stairs right next our room so if we wanted privacy we had to leave our curtain closed. Staff seemed to be nice and have pride in what they do. Even though when we first walked in there was odd smell because motel itself is old our room was very clean and breakfast area was spotless. I'm not sure why everybody is talking about their breakfast. I'm sorry but it's typical motel and cheaper hotel breakfast with weak coffee. You can't really complain when you pay $65-70 with breakfast and right next to Gettysburg to cemetary.

This was a very clean, comfortable room, large bathroom, tasty breakfast choices.

Comfortable, good location, pleasant staff. Only complaint is that it's noisy - rooms aren't well-soundproofed, and people going along the concrete walkway outside rooms are very loud.

Our room was super clean, breakfast fare was super, hotel staff was super helpful and friendly. Our only problem was no cot available for our third person and the beds were rather small. I didn’t get much sleep due to the neighbors above us; but, all in all, we had a super stay!

Convenient location, quiet after traffic slowed for the evening.

Decent value (for the area). No problems, but not anything special for a higher rating. More like a motel than a hotel, with rooms each opening to the outside. I appreciated that it was a short walk from the center of town, so it was quiet, but some might not want the uphill walk.

Great!. The breakfast even had eggs and sausage. room was clean and it was right next to attractions

Nice hotel Clean with great location But spent so much time trying to connect to wifi Even staff couldn't help me

Great experience, as always. Nice room, friendly and helpful staff, very good buffet breakfast, and premiere location -- all at a most reasonable price! Note: Reserve directly by phone so that you can request the location of your room. Ask for a room in front. If none is available, then ask for a room facing the pool. That covers a majority of the rooms, and you can do no wrong with any of them. (The only rooms I recommend you try to avoid are the rooms in back facing a rooftop full of what looks like heating ducts. And if you end up with one of them, it's still worth staying here, as all you have to do is close your curtains.)

Hotel was nice. Easy, free parking. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok, but the lady that was responsible for the breakfast room closed the door at 10 sharp and started clearing the breakfast items while we were still eating. That kinda made us feel like we had to rush and, of course, no chance for seconds, even though there was plenty of food left. Not a bad experience overall! I think it was worth the money.

Clean room and it looked recently updated. We were very happy with the location. The staff was very helpful! I would definitely recommend to my friends and family and would stay there again.

We were very pleased with everything. The rooms were clean, well designed and well equipped. It was a very pleasant staff. We would stay there again.

good overall quiet room , clean, free breakfast not great , but good places near by

Good location, decent room, bad wifi reception...overall we were pleased

The hotel was very nice, exceptionally clean and in a perfect location for all of us and why we were there. We loved the whole town. We did the bus tour of the battle field, and then loved that we could walk everywhere else. The town of Gettysburg is wonderful.

Hotel was excellent, location was perfect. The Civil War diorama followed by the bus tour were an excellent combination to understand the battle. Not a lot to do after dinner in the evenings. Only negative: furniture at the pool was terribly uncomfortable. One might feel a little guilt however looking for vacation fun and comfort in a place where so many lost their lives.

stayed there on our road trip back a second time, loved it

Location is terrific and acess to town is closeby and walking distance.

The hotel is within walking distance of several historic sites as well as museums and gift shops. The area is somewhat congested, including the parking lot which is very tight. The room was clean and comfortable.

Great location. Perfect, In the middle of the whole town.
