Great staff and location for your next trip to Gettysburg. Right next to the Jennie Wade house, acrid the street from the orphanage and within walking distance to many of the sites. Highly recommend you consider this hotel.
A bit dated, but very clean. Fridge made some noise all night - not bad. TERRIBLE breakfast.

Cannot thank the 1863 Inn staff enough for storing my mountain bike inside during my stay. Excellent breakfast. Join the rewards program if you plan on coming back like we do!
Very close to monuments, parks, shops, and restaurants. Breakfast is included and the price was fair.
The walk down nearby streets passes many historic sights. Breakfast excellent. People at desk grim and unfriendly as always.

This was a nice place to see the attractions of town. You could park and walk or drive around town. The room was very pleasant and spacious. The breakfast is above normal standards. The day we stayed the food preparer was sick so it was below our hopeful exceptions from prior reviews but they still pulled it off to be an adequate breakfast. We wished we could have stayed a another night. There is much to see in Gettysburg. When we come back to this area, we will check availability of this location again.
Close to historic Gettysburg. Close to boarding the Gettysburg Battlefield Bus Tour. Very good complimentary hot breakfast.

The Inn is well located in walking distance of interesting Civil-War-era buildings. The room was fine, breakfast excellent. We would have preferred a movie channel, like Turner Classics, on the TV.

I liked the easy access to the room from parking lot and pool. No matter what room you are in it seems like it isn't far from parking, pool and lobby. The breakfast was phenomenal! Best breakfast I have ever had at any hotel stay! Kudos to 1863 Inn of Gettysburg.

We are very surprised that you did not enjoy our FREE breakfast. As you can see by our other reviews, folks love it! We have a huge selection! Probably the best of any breakfast offered at a hotel. For future reference, there are many restaurants within walking distance of the hotel if you can't find anything to suit you on our FREE breakfast bar.
