Best Western Gettysburg

I loved this quaint old place, a throwback to the 1960's. I would go back if they weren't tearing it down in a month and replacing it with a BEST WESTERN.

This was a great little find in a great location. Motel was very clean and comfortable and offers a continental breakfast as well. It was all it said it would be and more. The only drawback was someone next door to us had a dog that awakened us with barking early in the a.m. I think that anyone with a pet should be located away from other patrons if at all possible. It was annoying.

Nothing to improve - a perfect hotel stay and accommodations. Clean, attractive rooms and furnishings. Friendly and helpful service.

This was our 2nd stay this summer and all went well. This hotel is affordable, clean, great location, very friendly staff. Breakfast is okay...toast, english muffins, bagels, Danish, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, tea... and all kept spotless and well stocked. Hope to return soon!

Enjoyed room, hot tub. Breakfast was ok. Tommy's Pizza delivery was awesome

Great value for the money and excellent location. The staff was friendly and there was a lot to do within walking distance. Not fancy but a nice place to stay.

Biggest complaint is door key working only intermittently. Clean. Overall good!

I've stayed in several hotels in Gettysburg throughout the years, this one, I must say, has to be the nicest for its value. Its nothing fancy it could use a little updating, but the bed is VERY comfy, the room is clean, & soft towels (You're only there to sleep and take a shower). The room had a balcony, a very nice place to sit in the evening. The hotel is right next to the battlefield. Its also in walking distance of shops, resturants, & museums.

Loved the decor of this place - campy fun. Room was comfortable. Good location. Traveling alone, but felt safe.

We have stayed here before and enjoyed it. Close to the National Battlefields and downtown Gettysburg. Not fancy but has everything we needed and was clean. Nice breakfast and the staff went out of their way to answer our many questions! Even printed off our return flight tickets. Close to where everything is going on. Construction in front of the motel so down to one lane but no big deal.

Very clean, friendly staff. Location near tourist attractions. The room had a spacious balcony with chairs & table. Good breakfast choices. I think during tourist season it may be noisy. I stayed during off season.

Nice location, easy to check in, friendly staff, nice balcony. Room was pretty clean, but there were some stains on the box spring of the bed.

The moment we entered the lobby, staff was pleasant and helpful! The clerk shared area interest and entertainment and was even helpful telling us directions. We explored Gettysburg Friday eve. and went to the Apple Festival on Saturday. We will return to Gettysburg and in all probability to America's Best Value Inn.

The staff was very friendly and sweet. We were advised to be "patient" with the key card, as it had problems. It had MAJOR problems. We had to go to the office to get help opening the central hallway. Old, feeble lock system. If you have a 2nd floor room, you'd better be Spiderman so you can get up there. When we got up to our hallway, OMG! We've moved into a kennel!! LOUD dogs barking from SEVERAL rooms, including the room next to ours! STRESS TESSSSST! (Pet friendly. NOT people friendly!) Yes, we knew pets OK in advance, but never experienced this before. Later evening, it finally stopped. The room itself was nice, otherwise - clean, spacious. Again, the staff people were very friendly. We informed them of our experience. I WOULD recommend only if pet-free and lock-functional.

Stayed one night. Great location near site of Pickett's charge. Basic hotel, clean, nice staff, nothing too fancy. The second floor had balconies.

The motel was great for the price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a very nice room with a nice balcony. We will definitely stay here again.

For the price it was a really great place to stay. The front desk clerk was pleasant and the room clean. The only negative I have is the room numbers were a bit small and hard to read making finding our room a little hard. And the room itself was a bit outdated but clean and comfy. Also well located to the attractions we wanted to see. I would stay there again.

We had a great experience at Americas Best Vaule. It was cheap and clean. The breakfast was all really good. We would definitely come back!

Close to the battlefield but not close enough to walk to the visitor center. I only bring that up because I saw where it was advertised that way. The hotel is older but we found our stay very nice. Our 2nd floor room had a balcony which was nice though it face a housing development. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very nice. There are no coffee makers, microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms if you are looking for that type of comfort. We plan to return to this hotel as the value, compared to other Gettysburg locations, was fair.

Booked room online after reading reviews . Checking in was fast and easy. Staff very friendly. Room was clean and fresh. Right by a friendly's and McDonald's which is nice if you have kids. Hotel was quite and beds were comfy. Very happy we chose America's best. We will be back for our next trip to Gettysburg.
