Excellent location, very cool building and history, friendly staff. Michelle in the bar was fantastic. The food was also good.

The staff was very helpful with tour recommendations as well as restaurants. Loved the tea in the afternoon Easy walk into shops and restaurants. We sent the previous night an hour away at a very expensive hotel whose staff was not as helpful nor welcoming as Federal Pointe

Other than the location and the room being clean there is not much else. Oh I almost forgot the night noise continual sounded like moving furniture.

Lovely, lovely hotel. We love old buildings so this fit us to a tee. Desk clerk upon arrival was nice but have to complain a little that the other shifts were a little less engaging. Diner out back was convenient for breakfast. The bartender downstairs was friendly, should have tried the crab cakes, maybe next time. All in all a pleasant visit.

This hotel was a 1880 school building, now renovated into a lovely hotel. The rooms are large, beds generous, the bathroom shower was all granite, lots of nice details. It is at the juncture of 2 main streets, with a flowered lawn in front, 4 blocks from Gettysburg town center. There is no breakfast offered inside the hotel, but there are several breakfast cafes within walking distance, and a pub in the basement open in the evenings.

The Federal Pointe was terrific. One minor complaint - we were on the third floor and it was very hot that day (95 degrees F). The air conditioner just could not cool the third floor room adequately. It was not exactly hot in the room - just warm.

Relaxed here for the evening. Huge rooms. Easy parking. Easy walk to town. Friendly staff. Would stay again but don't feel the need.

The hotel was recently opened in a building that was a school in 1896 and it has been refurbished beautifully. I stayed in a corner room that was very, very large and completely comfortable. The staff is very friendly and competent. Parking is easy and it is three blocks from the center square of downtown Gettysburg, less than a mile to the battlefield, and a 10 minute walk to Gettysburg College. I would probably rate this a four-star experience with the exception of two missing amenities: they do not have an elevator and have no food service. Fortunately, there is a very friendly and inexpensive restaurant directly next door called Dunlap's. I will definitely consider staying here again for a future trip.

Our stay at the Federal Pointe Inn couldn't have been nicer. The location is great - a short walk to the center of town and a short drive to the Gettysburg Visitor Center. The building has been beautifully renovated and our room was very large, comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Things to know: There is no restaurant or bar in the building so you will need to go out to eat or drink. It is one of the few hotels that we have stayed at that has a real freezer in the room refrigerator – a big plus if you are touring. No elevator to the upper floors so if you have trouble climbing stairs, ask for a room on the reception level (2nd floor).
