Brought my wife here for a birthday weekend getaway. Cozy, clean place close to great restaurants, and shopping. We had a wonderful stay!

Our mini get away was perfect. The boat house was clean and comfy, overlooking the creek and nature. We went kayaking not to far, and barbecued by the creek. Bed was comfy, plenty linen. Hosts kept checking in if all was good. 5 stars

Gorgeous Chalet on the Creek

My wife and I spent the weekend in Downingtown and rented this cute little place right on the Brandywine creek. It was a perfect little escape and the owners went out of their way to make sure our stay went well. Highly recommended and hope to stay here again in the summer.

I throughly enjoyed my stay at the boathouse. It was walking distance to a lot of local things in Downingtown and a quick drive to Exton, King of Prussia, and West Chester. I was able to visit a lot of historic sites even in town. I got some beautiful photographs of the area, walk through the park and I saw many birds (Blue Heron) and an Eagle’s nest nearby! The hosts were very attentive with communication via the app. I loved that there was a washer/dryer on premises and extra towels in the bathroom. The kitchen had some basic spices, dishwasher pods and some water in the fridge which I appreciated. I’ll definitely be looking at this location for another solo break to write and paint! Thank you so much for having me and hiding this little gem so close to everything! I’ll definitely stay here again!

Perfect Getaway

This quaint 1 bedroom 1 bathroom house is perfect for a long weekend or week long getaway. It's right along hey beautiful creek and directly across a well maintained park.

anniversary getaway

the property was a little tricky to find but once there so nice overlooking the Brandywine river. very peaceful. would definitely go there again in warmer weather to sit on the deck and enjoy the view!

Anniversary weekend

The Boat House was perfect for me and the wife’s getaway for the anniversary weekend. The place was very quiet and gave us the privacy we needed for our getaway weekend. The boat house was a great location within walking distance to downtown and short drive to many local attractions.

Beautiful View From Deck

The Boathouse was attractive and comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay. Saw a Bald Eagle fly by on the deck! Highly recommended.

Cute lil hidden spot

I really enjoyed my stay to the boathouse. I loved that it was in town but very secluded. The place itself is adorable. Perfect for a couple of 3 people to stay. I loved my personal note from the owners, small touches like these make my day! If the need aides I'll def stay again!

It's a lovely property tucked away on the Brandywine Creek; we watched herons and a family of geese; visited the Brandywine Museum and Jenkins Arboretum during a brief stay for a bridal shower. Would love to go back!

Peace on the Brandywine

While the pictures for this listing do the property justice, we believe that feel of peacefulness cannot be captured on film. We came because of a wedding in the area, but we plan to came back and explore. Highly recommend !

Love this spot in Downingtown!

I had friends come to town to visit, and was looking for a fun place for them to stay in the Borough. This was perfect! They really loved the spot and we had a nice cozy place for some quality girls weekend time. The hosts were incredibly communicative and made the whole process simple and easy. Now my son wants to have his own sleepover there in the future, because he was jealous of the great location on the water :-)
