Keflavic International Airport (KEF) is the island's main international airport situated about 25 miles away from Reykjavik. Since flights to Iceland can be quite long after landing on the airport, it is best to bring some form of entertainment like a book or a game console. If you take Iceland flights coming from outside Switzerland or the EEA, be prepared for a security check. Make sure that your visas are in order. Taxi cabs from KEF can be quite expensive but the ride through these lands is made much more.
