Although there aren’t staff present other than housekeeping, the team were very helpful with providing information and also allowing early check-in. The Hotel is wonderful. I prefer a more quiet place to stay when I travel, so I look for a bed further away from downtowns and the hustle and bustle. Since Reykjavik is easy to walk or use the city bus, I had access to everything I needed. I didn't have a car, so I can't comment on parking. The self check-in was simple and straightforward. My room was comfy and clean. The private bathroom was awesome. There are plenty of food spots and groceries nearby, as well as some stores.

The hotel itself was very nice and cozy, the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the “free parking” is misleading. It is actually street parking nearby, most of which is paid, some of it is free. However it is not clearly marked, some of it is a couple of blocks away, and most of it is full. We came after a long red eye flight and long day with no sleep and had to circle the block for 20 minutes to find parking until we decided to risk it at an unmarked spot. Thankfully it was safe parking and our rental car was still there. I would warn anyone who is booking this location for the “free parking” that it’s not on the premises.
