The place was pretty dirty and it smelled like cooked fish. I had to clean the kitchen before I could use it.

The room given to us was pretty small considering how long we were staying there. The pictures show the larger rooms which was a misconception.

easy check in proceedure, lacking in daily bathroom shampoo, and lotions.

Only one small trash can for the whole apartment, so bring a grocery bag. Have to bring your own washcloth. No ceiling fan. Cleaning lady only came once, on our last day. Beds were comfortable and convenient location with a grocery store across the street.

Hotel was great.. Have opportunity cook in rooms but no air system so it would often get smoky fast..rooms were cleans and everyone was friendly with many activities close by

Nice little apartment. We stayed for 8 days and the staff was friendly and check in was super easy. Definitely recommend!

Ok no big deal Good to keep trash can in the bathroom Few more chairs would be helpful Have some hooks to hang stuff go to ikea

A simple room, no frills, but that's okay with me. Comfortable beds, warm blankets in December, and kitchen facilities. Right across the street from a small market with all the basic foodstuffs, and an easy drive into downtown Reykjavik. I would definitely stay here again!

No frills place in a good location. A main bus stop within 100 yds. Grocery store directly across the street. I recommend cooking when possible, it will significantly reduce food costs. 2 burner stove, etc. Caution: the smoke detectors are sensitive. We weren't the only ones to set them off during our stay. :) Comfortable bed! light housekeeping, means just that. it could be more detailed, but then, it was clean when we arrived, and any mess after that was our doings. :) I would recommend this and will likely stay there in the future.

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. It was big, clean and comfortable. There are wonderful views of the city from the balcony and there is a supermarket right across the street from the hotel. There are also many shops and restaurants nearby. We would certainly stay here again!

We really enjoyed our studio apartment. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything you need. The cutlery drawer needs to be redone but overall we really have only postive things to say. We came with our 18 month old and had a crib waiting for us in the studio. P.s. I rated the staff as 3 out 5 as there is no staff at this place.

Far from Rejkavik. Hotel staff is only around 9am-5pm, and they are never around when you need them. The windows to our room weren't sealed, so there was always a draft, and water leaking from the heater

Very Nice view and easy access to enter at anytime.

I received from the apartments a confirmation letter with the room's lock codes mistaken. After 1 hour trying to find a pay phone in Iceland someone with a great soul let me use her phone to call the apartment's office. I finally got the correct lock code and could get into the freezing cold room which had the windows open and bad heating system. Bad experience. I would not recommend this place

Windows wide open and bright when we got there. Clean towels every day. There is a grocery store across the street. Buy food there, as Iceland is outrageously expensive. Only get the soup and bread at the nearby restaurant. It is fantastic, but about $12. Comfortable beds. You do get used to the sulferey smelling hot water. Be sure to run the cold for a few, and then it is good water.

I booked this hotel because it was the only one I could find near Reykjavik that was available for all 4 nights we were in Iceland. It was okay, however I was promised wireless internet, and that was not delivered. I was able to connect to the wireless internet for maybe 10 mins a day before it stopped working. This is very very annoying, it is 2016 every device I own gets more useful when it can connect to the internet. The most frustrating part about that is it would work for 10ish mins so it's not like there wasn't a router somewhere, it was just not a very good one, or it was overheating and kept resetting, or something. Several other issues I had with the room: It smelt like fish when we first arrived (that didn't fill me with confidence that the room was cleaned well in between customers). The towel rack in the bathroom was missing (you could see where it had been but it was no longer there). I wish there had been a way to prop open the door to the balcony - this would have been nice for 2 reasons: when it smelt like fish we could have left the door open to air out the room a bit and the couple days where is was warm in the room we could have left the door open to cool it down and bring in some fresh air.

but it is to close to the interstate, but real close to the hamraborg bus stop which for 420 krona will get you to reykjavik in 15 minutes.

My friend and I are just 2 college girls who wanted to take a week long trip to Iceland and experience a little bit of everything- the city, the mountains, the coast, and of course the hot springs and lagoons. This place was a good distance from Reykjavik, not walking distance, but only a 10 or 15 minute bus ride. The Hamraborg bus station is less than a 5 minute walk from the apartment building, and if you want to take a bus into Reykjavik, just find bus 1, 2 or 4 that says Hlemmur as a final destination. That is the stop you'll want to get off at in Reykjavik. There is also a parking lot out front if you decide to rent a car, but I think the public transportation system is the way to go! As far as the room goes, this place exceeded my expectations! Everything we needed was right there in the room. It was nice having our own bathroom and kitchen as well, with a sink, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, stove and silverware and dishes all included too (there might have been a toaster too, I can't remember). The staff brought us clean towels daily, and the bathroom was very nice and clean with a great shower. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! We had a great experience!

Mini kitchen well stocked, blackout blinds, big grocery store, cafe, restaurants, bakery, bank & pharmacy all across the street. Major bus hub within 2-3 blocks.

Nice place to stay for the price. Close to downtown.

Thank you for this review, we appreciate all feedback. I will ensure the housekeeper remembers to bring more hangers to rooms where it is needed, unfortunately they seem to disappear over time.
