The hot breakfast was delicious and the hotel was in a great location to walking to downtown!

Close to downtown, friendly staff, comfortable and clean room.

I really enjoyed my room, as I had a view of the church from it. (417). It was a single room with a twin bed and a small stand up shower. I know being 5’4” with a smaller built helped a lot in the shower and while using the toilet. If I were any bigger, it wouldn’t have worked for me. The breakfast was okay. Not a lot of choices. I stuck to kiwifruit, toast, and cereal. They also had a coffee machine which was nice too, and I was able to get a cafe latte. When I first arrived, I had been up for about a day, and the front desk lady was very rude to me. I tried to avoid asking her questions when she was working. However, there was a very nice, younger man there who worked a few days, and I really enjoyed him. He was able to give me his recommendations on food and places to go. Everything was nice, but I wasn’t looking for a resort. Just a place to sleep, whilst viewing the incredible scenery in Iceland.

The staff is wonderful, and the included breakfast is exceptional. The t.v. service was out for the entire hotel, and the light switch in each room controlled all electrical outlets and lights. I'd stay here again.

Rooms not very bad. Partial Mountain view in rear. Clean. Shower barely had any pressure. Quiet.

Hotels in Reykjavik are expensive. This hotel room was over $200/night, so I would consider it low value for money. The room was small, a 10 minute walk off the main "drag". The room also got a lot of street noise. I only needed a hotel for one short evening before flying out early the next morning. So, I checked in at 3 pm, left for the Blue Lagoon from 5-10, then out at 0530 for the airport. Room was clean and organized strangely, with a toilet and sink on one side of the room and the shower and sink on the other. My room was at the very end of a hall way with ups and downs of stairs to get there. Bed was fairly comfortable, but sheet was nubby. No restaurant for dinner, and I was not there late enough in the morning to have breakfast. I also was not able to get wireless there. However, Staff was very friendly and helpful with directions, taxi ordering, etc. If you want a minimalist and "inexpensive" room in Rej, not too far from the city center, this might work for you.
