Clean, modern hotel. Comfortable bed, dreamy coverlets. Buffet breakfast quite full of options. Only wish that we'd known to check in first; get room key to operate lift (need to get in lift on 1st floor, use keycard to get elevator down to street level in order to travel with bags on lift). Otherwise, one lugs bags up a flight of stairs getting to the check-in desk.

The room was pretty small, but for the price we paid in Reykjavik standards, can't complain. We had a room with two twin beds joined together, which came up close to the size of a queen bed. They did not have any king bed option, not to my knowledge. For the price we paid plus with free breakfast buffet, I believe the price was reasonable for their standards. The only issue we had was that we arrived so early in the morning at the hotel, which was due to the flight schedule. We were aware that the check in time is at 2:00 p.m. but was hoping there would be a room for us to check into before 2:00 p.m. We were told that there was no room, so we waited in the lobby for about 5 hours coming from a sleepless night travel. I checked with the front desk around 11:00 a.m., and I was informed that the guests in the room that we are assigned to have not even checked out yet. Why not assign us a different room? So we waited, and the room could have been available before 2:00 p.m. but front desk did not inform us. Like they really had us wait until it's check in time. Hotels should be flexible sometimes with this policy especially when you have guests that have been waiting for 5 hours in the lobby.

Reykjavik Lights is located along a strip of hotels and restaurants off a major throughway, across from the football stadium. It's a long walk to city center, but busses run the road and there are bike and walking paths across the street. We stayed one night in a double bed room. It was small and paint was peeling from the windowsill, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was very good: eggs, breads and pastries, yogurt, fruit, vegetables, deli meat, and herring. All in all a good stay.

Lights hotel was a mile or so away from "downtown" Reykjavik..This IMO is a great thing. Solid breakfast buffet..Friendly and helpful staff..Very Clean. Nice eating options in the lobby level of the surrounding buildings. Plenty of parking..No complaints!

The hotel is very nice, with helpful staff that you can ask anything. The breakfast is kind of continental breakfast in Iceland

The hotel staff was extemely helpful. We were able to book all our trips att the hotel and the us would pick us up right there. We bought the City Pass, rode the buses an went to many museums in the city.

room was a little small but efficient and clean. Staff did a great job of cleaning room and bathroom every day. Good location. Staff was helpful.

We had a great stay. Really enjoyed the breakfast, proximity to one of the thermal pools, and the very friendly and accommodating staff. After having an overnight flight, we arrived to the hotel at 8am with the plan of dropping off our luggage and then hitting the town or pool, but they had a room all ready for us and let us access our room at 8 am. It was awesome and much appreciated. They were always very friendly in all interactions.

The single room was a bit small and dorm like, but I still had a great stay. It was clean and the bed very comfortable. Its also a short walk to the downtown area.

Reykavik Lights is a great hotel in greater Reykjavik. It's a bit removed from the downtown center, but it's an easy walk. Also, there's a bunch of restaurants right near by-- which the hotel describes well! The staff was very friendly, and helpful for services. The only improvement would be some more support when booking tours in the area. Fortunately, they did the groundwork with the tour groups, so getting a pickup or drop-off at the hotel is easy.

Hotel was a nice hotel. For the price though I would expect a little bit more to the hotel but overall was a nice and clean hotel with a great concept design to it.

iceland hotels are designed for space economy but in all was comfortable would stay there again

Nice, clean room. Good breakfast. Not bad location.

Staff very nice , a lot of good suggestion they gave us , always ready to help. Room size Okay.

Dear ell, thank you for leaving the lovely review. However it is a misunderstanding that you need the keycard to use the elevator from street level to the 1st floor where the front desk is situated. Keycards are only required from the first floor and up as a safety measure for our guests.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review us after your stay. By any chance do you remember your room number so we can fix the paint on the windowsill? Hope you come visit us again so that we have another chance to impress you.
