Great location. Large rooms for downtown. Nice hotel!!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hotel was lovely and the staff at the hotel were very helpful!

The staff was awesome. We arrived early in the morning and they had our rooms available so we could get cleaned up, put our luggage in our rooms and then head out on the town. One thing to note is that on Friday and Saturday night being right at the square the locals party (very loud) until 4:30 am. take ear plugs if you are there on the weekend. Very nice hotel. We enjoyed our stay and the location.

We stayed 4 nights here! Due to the snow storm in NYC we have to changed our travel date and staffs there are very nice, helped us to accommodate everything. The location is perfect! In the center of everything close to many restaurants, bars, city sightseeing, supermarket. Bus stop 3 where all the tour bus come pick u up is just 3 mins walk! Bed is very comfortable, Bathroom as well Highly recommended

The hotel is in a good location and it was easy to walk around and convenient to dine and shop. I enjoyed the hotel so much.

Fantastic , really a great hotel. Perfect location! Staff was super helpful.

Great location, couldn't be better. Clearly the hotel has a great reputation around town, historic site, etc. The restaurant is excellent, particularly known for their pastry chef and desserts, which were featured on our culinary walking tour. Room was fine, cool walk-in shower Staff was friendly and happy to work with me on problems with arrival and departure days. Rooms on the front are rumored to be noisy some nights, from street noise, but our room was in the rear--not great view, but quiet. Breakfast was very nice.

We stayed there for 8 nights in February. The location is excellent - close to the main shopping and parking and within walking distance to basically anything one might want/need. We only ate breakfast there once but it was good. The room was SMALL but had everything we needed, including electric tea kettle with a selection of teas (and instant coffee). Housekeeping was not keen on giving us extra towels but we managed to get a few anyway. The entire hotel seems brand new and clean. The WC is modern and has an open shower concept which is rather nice because there is no moldy shower curtain or rickety glass door. Water temperature varied a bit in the early mornings. Our window looked out over the square which is nice, but on Saturday nights (even in February) there was a LOT of noise outside, I think coming from the bar next door. I imagine it's even louder in the summer especially since Icelanders go out 1am onwards. There was a safe in the room but it didn't always want to cooperate. Front desk staff were really helpful, ordering our Flybus pickup (easy way to get to/from airport), calling a special gym for me to set up an appointment, calling taxis for us, etc.

beautiful modern remodel of an old building. Great location just off the major shopping street on a popular grassy square with crowded sidewalk cafes. can be noisy at night (till 2am) with party goers so ask for a room off the square, you won't have a view but should be quitter. Believe it or not, room was hot from the afternoon midnight sun, no AC (understandable in Iceland) but doesn't have very good air circulation. We had to ask for the windows to be unlatched and requested a window fan. Good hotel restaurant
