Beautiful

This property is beautiful. The area is peaceful and the house is just as listed. Lots of special touches, charging ports in each bedroom, TV in each bedroom and lots more. They say the little things matter. Five stars

Beautiful luxury stay

My friend group stays fora bachelorette weekend get-away and this place was perfect. Breakfast on the patio by the water was just perfect.

Multigenerational stay

We had a wonderful stay. Only thing to note for planning purposes is that the bathroom connected to the only bedroom on the main floor requires steps up and down from the shower. My mom is highly mobile (uses a cane and handrails) so she could stay downstairs with a direct walk in shower. There are 3 full (tub and shower) plus two 1/2 baths. The outdoor spaces were beautifully designed and furnished. The house is tucked into a corner with the lake behind. You will forget its in a neighboorhood. Fresh coffee every morning in the sunroom or on the porch was lovely. If I had known I'd stay an extra day and not leave the house. Bring groceries and staycation in this lovely home. (Wineries are close and evening performances at the fantastic SIU McCloud theatre.)

Wonderful weekend in Carbondale

This was our second stay at the property and it is delightful! The home is stocked with anything you need, the location is great and the house is quite comfortable! We will make this our “go to” spot when visiting our college son!

SOIL Getaway

Took the family to southern Illinois for a quick getaway. The property was great. Really loved the pool and hot tub! The view from the back of the house of the lake was great! The kids and myself enjoyed the paddle boats! The entertaining area was quite large. Would be great for weddings, family reunions, etc.

Family Visit

The house was beautiful and very clean and had everything we needed and more. I came from Wisconsin with my family and my niece came from England to visit our family, who all live near Carbondale and surrounding areas. The thing we all liked about the house the most was the outdoor seating. There were so many places to sit outside with plenty of room for everyone.

6 adults enjoyed this beautifully kept home. We enjoyed the cleanliness, space, and location to amenities of this space. We enjoyed the pond, pool, hot tub on site. We also enjoyed the local co-op grocery, farmers market, brewery and winery.

Another relaxing visit

Spacious house that's very comfortable for small and large families. Beautiful view onto a large pond with fountains. Pleasant walks allow some wildlife viewing around the pond. Nice pool, paddleboats and sports equipment available to keep everyone busy. Beautiful sunroom and patios perfect for relaxing and visiting with each other.

Beautiful lake view from comfy sunroom

Really enjoyed our stay at the Gibson House. It was perfect for our family visit, very clean and well stocked. It’s large and open common rooms are engaging yet has quiet, private bedrooms. The weather was perfect for lounging on the covered porches and we even caught a few bass from the lake.

Family Gathering

We rented houses in Pine Lake in order to have a place for everyone to gather as our family attended my mother’s funeral. We celebrated her life by showing old photos on the smart TV. We prepared meals in the beautiful kitchen which was fully equipped. We woke Sat. to a dusting of snow which just added to the quiet and serene setting. The enclosed sun porch provided a great spot to enjoy the rays despite the cold. Betsy was great to work with and responsive, communicating prior to the rental and during. It would also be a great location in the summer for outdoor activities.

Stay at Gibson House

Beautiful, serene, amazing amenities, relaxing - just what we needed. Close to Carbondale for some exploration and meals when we felt like it. Did not want to leave!! Highly recommend!

Awesome place!

This place is very nice and is perfect for a family getaway or a guys golf trip since it’s so close to golf courses. The pond is great for fishing and the pool is so close you won’t ever have to leave the property if you don’t want to. I honestly never even talked to the property owner….which I don’t count as a bad thing….communication received was everything I needed so I never had to ask any questions. Property and everything about it was in great working order when we showed up and throughout so there was never a need for me to reach out. This place is awesome and I will definitely be staying there again!

Perfect Weekend

A group of us came for a long weekend and we had the most amazing time. The communication with hosts was great, the house was gorgeous and very clean, and the location is so peaceful and relaxing! We also did the wine trail which was so much fun. We can’t wait to come back again.
