Zazz Hotel - Not Worth the Hype or the Hassle
If you’re considering booking at Zazz, think twice. They do not allow cancellations under any circumstance, which is frustrating if you end up regretting your choice (as I did).
The property is extremely rundown—it shouldn’t even be listed as a hotel. The carpet was filthy, and the entire place felt neglected. On top of that, they charge $12.50 plus tax for parking, and if you don’t pay, you’re forced to park on the street—which felt completely unsafe.
Customer service was mixed. A woman of color at the front desk was incredibly rude and unwelcoming—hard to miss her with her COVID mask pulled up to her eyeballs. On the other hand, a polite young man (also a person of color) wearing a gold chain was the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience.
I’m leaving out a lot, but please read the one-star reviews on Yelp—they’re accurate. I survived, but barely. Do yourself a favor: pay a little more and stay somewhere that’s actually clean and treats guests with basic courtesy.
