i accidentally booked 2 rooms for the same night. I realized it when i got 2 confirms by emial. I immediately called orbitz - they said they would try to call the hotel and get it fixed. They said they tried, once i arrived at the hotel they said they can't do anything, but would have canceled if the firm/Orbitz/travelocity would have asked. I will never book another 3rd party orbitz/travelocity again, absolutely no sanity for "once it's booked it cannot be cancelled". no room for any normal customer service - all of the agents say it isnt up to them/they cannot do anything- once its booked no adjustments. I paid for 2 rooms on the same night and will move on - never again.
