Though we only stood one night we were immediately impressed by the Goodwin. We love the ambience and decor. Our room was quite comfortable and well decorated! We were initially in a room across a "rowdy" group, we called downstairs and without hesitation they changed our rooms, and unfortunately ...
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We felt safe here. Our villa was spacious and comfortable with all the things we would need in a kitchen. Lots of restaurants in the area. Breakfast had a nice variety of choices and it was full at all times. ...
Not sure if sheets were changed, got bug bites all across my lower back from either the bed or mangy recliner in room. I have stayed there many times over the last 6 or 7 years under different owners and Hotel names. Was terrific the first several years and gradually got worse. They also have changed ...
Loved the main hotel. First had us in the front 2 story brick building. I stated that did not look like web pictures & was upset. She then upgraded us to a room in the building I saw on line. Very old school elegant with classical music playing as you entered the front door. Grand staircase & beautiful ...
Most enjoyable hotel, great experience! Easy check in and out! Amazing gym and hot tub! The rooms were extremely clean. Beds were so comfortable. Huge rooms. Will definitely come back to this hotel again. Staff were so friendly and so helpful!
The food here is great, and the bar staff. It's very walkable to the cute restaurants and shops in Middletown, and right near the Christmas tree. I had a great view of it from my room! This is my 4th time staying here in a year and I can't wait to go back!
Old hotel definitely needs upgrade .stained ceilings old rotted wood on door jambs .first room 2nd fl smoking was horrible but that was only available room. First fl non smoking room much better .staff very nice breakfast was very good although a little variety would be nice .same options every day.all in all not bad for the price
CLEAN!!! Very friendly staff, beautiful courtyard and a nice swimming pool! Will definitely be back!
I chose the Farmington Inn because it had received great reviews and was much more affordable than the name-brand hotels in the area -- I was glad I did. I arrived several hours before check-in and the front desk clerk invited me to work in the large lobby area with access to free cookies, water, coffee, tea and fresh fruit. They readied my room hours early and put me in a corner suite on the second floor, which was quiet and clean. The wifi speed was fast and I worked all afternoon in peace. I went down to the lobby late afternoon for cheese, crackers, and wine and was only miles from my dinner meeting that night, across from the UConn medical campus. It was pouring rain and I was able to park under the overhang and get out of my car without an umbrella, which was convenient.
