I must say this resort was huge. I liked the restaurants connected to the establishment. The river back setting was gorgeous. What I didn't like so much was that the pictures online of the rooms was a bit deceiving. The King size rooms were smaller and the commodes were nearly down on the floor. You had to bend down so low, also the toliet had water pressure issues and did not flush. The indoor pool was closed the entire time, and they had no internet connection, so everything had to be paided by cash.

Once is enough !!!

Old hotel. Needs updating. Non handicap friendly. Had to bring breakfast back to room. Person at cresendos was very accommodating. Very difficult to get to pool therefore didn’t use it. Limited access to facilities. One gentleman screaming in the hall for his keys using foul language at 2am. No security or anyone to stop him. Note : approximately 50 feet from front desk.

Resort? No! What amenities were available? I paid $5 per night for a resort fee. First off no WiFi during my 3 night visit and you had to go outside to make cell calls because the reception was so poor. Indoor swimming pool? NO! It was closed. Fitness center? NO! It was closed! Coffee offered in the front reception area? NO! Even though an empty coffee pot and cups are there! Trying to exchange the room coffee for a milder one? FORGET IT! They don’t have any. This is not a resort and the additional $5 per day is a slap in the face. I felt so sorry for the front staff who had to listen to one customer after another complain about the place. He was a real trooper. Anything good about this place? Yes, The free breakfast was outstanding. The view of the waterfall was beautiful and the gentleman who ran the place was welcoming and kept the place spotless. Dishes disappeared as soon as they were emptied. He is an outstanding employee! Will I ever return? No. There are a lot of hotels to choose from. This is not one

The room and view was great, and the front desk area was very nice and clean. Staff was nice. The big issues are indoor pool not working, hot tub no longer filled and available to use and exercise room also under construction. This was the main reason for us booking. Website says 2 bottles of water complimentary, we asked from desk and they said they stopped it a while ago. No hot water no matter what time we showered it was luke warm did complain said would send someone up never did. Also for the crescenzo's bar with the happy hour and menu only took cash due to internet down the whole 3 days we were there, just that area only but didn't have a sign or tell people before ordering. On friday the menu was only pizza when the two days before they had a full menu. There was alot of inconvenience with the property and management.

This is a mixed review because I was both disappointed and yet did enjoy my stay. I was surprised at how run down and outdated this resort became since I had stayed here about 7 years prior and was so impressed that they had so much happening in one place. The indoor pool and the additional indoor spa-like pool are now broken down and closed. They have a nice outdoor swimming pool. The outdoor courtyard is nice, a few different sitting areas and corn hole game. The restaurants are pretty good. Close to the casino and a free shuttle to take you back and forth. They have a club. The 2 bars had a good crowd, awesome bartenders, happy hour and live music. Nice complimentary hot breakfast. Staff here is exceptionally hospitable however they seem overwhelmed and short staffed . The room was outdated with chipped paint on the balcony and everywhere. Outlets didn’t work on one side of the room, and broken dresser drawer. Location is great! Along side a river with a walking bridge. 5 minute drive to 7 tubs waterfalls . Overall, it’s a good place with good people. It does need a renovation though.

This place has so much potential because of the location, but it is extremely run down and falling apart. The whole place smells like mildew, the beds and pillows were extremely old and uncomfortable . I would never stay here again unless they fully renovated.

I wanted this to be great but it fell very short! I’m sure it was amazing before and so I’ve heard by friends who stayed there when they were at nearby colleges many years ago. But today…the only thing that seemed clean or nice was the bed. Not impressed with the grounds or the maintenance of the building or rooms. Elevator buttons were broke and the hallways smelled of smoke and mildew. It has this beautiful view which you only get to see from the continental breakfast spot but is overgrown with trees/weeds and is not well maintained. It COULD be spectacular. The pictures listed are photoshopped or from its prior existence for sure. The indoor pool was closed. The outdoor pool is small and was overcrowded. And I thought it was more of a boutique hotel or resort area but it fell really short. It’s like it was flooded at some point or its management gave up on it. The rooms could cost more if they were fixed up and if the grounds were awesome; rock and mulch and manicured plants and better continental breakfast would be a good start. It’s trashy right now; ash trays offered everywhere and a greasy griddle sitting on a ledge outside of a room and on the walk. Fire alarms going off in individual rooms. Can’t tell if people live there or if it’s meant to be a hotel. Very confusing! My heart wanted to love it and wanted this to be nice. It’s so close to a great natural swim area and to rickets glen. Fix it up! Make it amazing again! Wilkes Barre needs you.
