This location was perfect. When entering, the staff was attentive and friendly. I had no problems at check in but i was a little disappointed that i wasn't informed where the gym and pool was. My room was located on the 1st floor bear the mechanic room which was a bit loud at times but nothing to disrupt my sleeping. I has a clean room, bathroom and my king size bed was comfortable. The FREE breakfast was great. Diy waffles, fresh fruit, bread, bagels, cereal, yogurt, coffee and juice. What made the vreakfast perfect was the server who made sure everyone was well tooken care of and everything was clean and stocked. I was cery impressed by her customer service. The gym, although small, had two treadmills, an elliptical and free weights. Very clean and met my needs. I didn't get a chance to take advantage of the pool area but i checked it out and it looked clean, as did the jacuzzi. Lastly, TGIFridays is connected to the hotel and when dining there, if you show your room key, you receive 10% off. An AWESOME perk considering my daughter loves the restaurant. Overall, i would highly recommend this hotel.

Checked in around 4pm. Get to room and turn on TV and no picture. Try several different channels and no picture. Call desk and told it takes a little time for picture to show and asked if I switched channels. When I assured that I did was told a manager would be there. Manager comes sees there is a very darker picture (was actually our shadows but didn’t want to embarrass her). Doesn’t offer a different room, like most hotels of this caliber would given that we checked in on the early side and rooms where still available at Marriott.com, our mistake for not asking. Instead, I am assured that the maintenance staff will take care of it while we are out and was assured we would have TV when we returned. Return at midnight and pass the front desk where the clerk was eating pizza at the desk and chatting with friends. Go to room and turn on TV and no picture. Leave on while getting ready for bed change channel(s) and no picture. Since I was ready for bed and didn’t want to break up the pizza party all the while figuring the very full parking lot likely meant no other room available anyway, decided to go to bed. We really enjoyed listening to the news and an episode M*A*S*H in the morning. Upon check out, I told the gentleman at the desk that I had left the TV on in the room and explained the afternoon prior’s events. He tells me that you have to switch the channel sometimes to get the picture. I assured him that I had, my wife had and even the manager who told me the problem would be taken care of had to no avail. He stated he was sorry and would see that additional points would be added to my Marriott Rewards account. I’ll take him at his word but will still believe it when I see them. Did I mention the threadbare towel ...?

We were in Wilkes-Barre for a concert at the Mohegan Sun Arena so we booked one night here. The Inn was at full capacity, I am guessing due to the concert because the two couples who checked in ahead of us were there for the same reason. When you arrive, the layout where the Fairfield is located is very odd. When you turn into the main entry way, there is a different hotel; you drive in front of that hotel, through their parking lot and are facing another hotel, still not the Fairfield, so you make a right and drive through that hotel's parking lot, make another right and then you are in front of the Fairfield. Not a very appealing entryway at all. All three hotels are rather run down, with the Fairfield in the best shape of the three. The lobby was pleasant enough and the room was clean, but I cannot say anything better than that. The heat worked, although it is one of those loud floor units that turns on and off frequently, and the bathroom was clean, but this place needs a serious makeover in the rooms. And the walls are paper thin, but I have found this to be the case in many other fancier hotels. The Fairfield served its purpose for what we needed, but I would not recommend it if you are staying for more than one night; again, just not up to Marriott standards. I was lucky and booked early and got a very good rate on Expedia; if I had paid over $100 for the night, I would have been very upset.

The rooms are spotless and the staff are great. The lady who takes care of the breakfast is so terrific. She is just so sweet and energetic. The price is fab if you use the Hotel coupons. They are close to a casino and lots of shopping.

We stayed here on our way home because of bad storm warnings. Check in was easy and all the staff very friendly. The lobby area was clean. Unfortunately our room 401 was extremely small and the furniture was very old. Very uncomfortable and overpriced for 2 days. The beds were comfortable thank goodness. Breakfast was surprisingly good except for rubbery eggs. Even had fresh blueberries, strawberries and melons a real treat. Had the room been a normal size it would have been much better. Our first and last stay in a F airfield Inn. We thought we'd spend some time in the pool area but it was not clean and very unappealing.

I was just in town for the weekend and my company booked the hotel. To my pleasant surprise, after an exhausting day at work, the mattress was AMAZING!!! I slept like a baby!! The best mattress I've slept on in years, to include my own!!

This was once our go-to hotel when traveling through PA. We stopped this time and were disappointed to find that all the things we loved about the place were deteriorating. This used to be a very clean, nicely maintained hotel. Now it’s seen better days. The cleaning wasn’t up to par. The furnishings are worn. Everything felt old...and old is fine as long as it’s maintained. The hair dryer was in such bad shape that it smoked and almost set the place on fire. We booked another hotel for our return trip.

No issues from start to finish. Check in was polite, friendly, and quick. Room was big and clean. Breakfast was hot and tasty with plenty of seating area around to keep it from getting crowded. The lady working down there was very kind and welcoming as well. Location is very easy access to highways. This is a no-brainer for a great place to stay in Wilkes-Barre.

Was upgraded to mini suite - staff couldn’t have been more helpful- arranging shuttle to airport early Sunday and free breakfast featured server constantly checking if everything was ok. Room clean and large

My son and I recently stayed here on our way to New England. The staff was friendly and courteous; the rooms were spacious and clean; and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. I will definitely stay at a Fairfield Inn & Suites again.
