No frills. By that I mean that no newspaper around and we had to check out in person. The room was just okay--not well lit at all and to see some areas, I needed the flashlight on my phone. Beds were comfy. Bathroom okay. Didn't have a chance to eat the breakfast, but didn't look like a lot of choices. ...
Hotel was relatively CLEAN, Price was right. Internet worked fine at night, but for some reason struggled in the morning. Free HBO, if you need it. TV was Ok, Fridge in room. Bathroom VERY small and toilet would "run" for what seemed like half an hour after flushing. Stange leak from Shower ceiling ...
I booked this hotel because it was about 15 minutes away from the wedding that I was going to attend. Overall, I was pleased with location since there were a bunch of restaurants and gas/convenience stores close by. The room was a decent size for me and my teenage son. Just stayed for one night. ...

Air conditioner in room was quiet. Road to Murphysboro for the Smoking cookoff. Road around and hiked in the Shawnee Forest.
This is a perfectly acceptable hotel for a short stay. You will be paying less than $100/night so you should not expect much luxury or freebies. The included breakfast was a mix of hot and cold and perfectly good. There were times when there was no one manning the front desk but they didn't seem to last too long. Definitely, I would recommend this lodging for one night.
Driving to Florida from Minnesota was only $35 with all my orbitz rewards! Very nice and clean.
Only one problem. The faucet head in the bathroom sink kept coming off when turning it off and on. Other than that, our stay was fine. Carbondale was overbooked so we had to go to Marion. The room was given to us at no charge. Yes, this was friendly and hospitable area in Southern illinois. We will be back. Thank you for your kindness. Rooms were clean and comfortable
