The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Check-in was a breeze and the staff very pleasant. The bed was great. Hot tub was pleasantly relaxing (tho maybe too hot for others, but I loved it!). Only issue was the thinness of the floor/ceiling as we could hear the footsteps of the tenants in the room above ours loud and clear, but they fortunately were quiet when we needed to sleep. (Maintenance staff tho' should look at the temperature control in room 103 for calibration. We lowered the temp to just above 60 degrees and were still hot. The room's actual temp was near 80. (Not a 'minus' IMHO, since it was not bad enough for us to need to move and we could have lowered it further - just a note for staff)
Noisy and had trouble sleeping. Heard people upstairs and in the hall
Everyone at the hotel were very accommodating. They also were all very kind.

Only one problem. The faucet head in the bathroom sink kept coming off when turning it off and on. Other than that, our stay was fine. Carbondale was overbooked so we had to go to Marion. The room was given to us at no charge. Yes, this was friendly and hospitable area in Southern illinois. We will be back. Thank you for your kindness. Rooms were clean and comfortable

The staff were as friendly as I have ever met staying out of town. The Hotel was as clean from inside and out as I have ever seen including the rooms. The location was perfect for easy entering and exting from the hotel. Would stay at this Hotel if I happened to be in Carbondale, IL. Nice restaurants very close by and affordable.
If you are ever visiting Southern Illinois University, this hotel is fairly close. It is clean and reasonable nice. Nothing spectacular, but an acceptable hotel for the price.
Per request we got a room on the ground floor near the door which was very nice for my wife. The staff were very helpful with everything. Breakfast was good and had many items to choose from - ate there all 4 days. Got a "winter" room discount to help with the cost. Motel is relatively new so decor looks good. Nice lobby for conversation.
I had a great experience at this hotel, the front desk representative and especially the housekeeping staff were amazingly friendly. This is my first choice hotel when traveling to Carbondale.
The hotel is very nice. When we asked for more pillow they said they were out at the moment. The pillows in the room were so small you may want to bring your own. They did come across 2 pillows and brought them to our room. The staff was wonderful! The breakfast they offered was not very good. Take the drive to get breakfast. All in all it was a wonderful Hotel and would stay there again and would Highly recommend it.
For five days the entire staff made me feel like they were glad I was there. On business I had gear to tote in and out - people held doors open, helped me carry my lunch in, wished me a "good day" or "good night" and meant it. (Even the Maintenance Manger!) Rooms perfectly clean and comfortable. I arrived much earlier than expected and got immediate help getting into my available room - and the clerk responded as if she *wanted* to help me solve the problem, rather than it being a bother to her. Have stayed at several Hampton Inns, all have been very good, and this was a cut above the rest.
