We arrived late after 10pm, staff were very helpful, we had a toddler they accommodated us in having a travel cot. put in our room. Found staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, it was good to see them opening early at 06.30am. There is also a vegetarian option, our room was nice and clean, bed was very comfortable had good night sleep. We would come back again definitely. Cannot complain about anything really happy customer.

Location acceptable, staff good, room clean and warm, with acceptable amenities. On the downside; Although the bed was comfy to sit on, for some strange reason I found it very hard and impossible to sleep on. Luckily I was on my own in a double bed, so I arranged the duvet so I could lay on half and have half over the top of me, which helped a great deal and I was then able to sleep. The cooked breakfast was one of the worst I've ever been subjected to. The bacon was overcooked and hard, the sausages were cheap and nasty and there was a very limited choice of any other options (like only scrambled eggs, no fried bread, mushrooms, etc.) Definitely a place of last resort, rather than first choice.

We stayed here overnight on a Saturday night, so we could get to the NEC easily the next day. The hotel is located in a business park and has at least three places to eat within a 2 minute walking distance. We chose Frankie & Bennys and had a lovely meal there. The hotel is very modern, clean and functional, with an abundance of parking. The hotel staff were friendly, the room was very nice and with a cooked breakfast in the price at £57, you really cannot complain. The breakfast next morning was good, lots of variety and fresh items brought out regularly. It was really nice to have a choice of coffee as well, instead of the usual coffee pot, so the Latte went down well. All in all, a very pleasant experience at a budget price.

The staff are so lovely, they welcome you back like an old friend. This Holiday Inn Express never disappoints. Spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms and a great free breakfast- stay here and you won't regret it!

A late booking with a colleague required two rooms for two nights, booked only 24 hours before we travelled. Unfortunately our corporate booking provider (not IHG or Holiday Inn) messed up the booking, but the staff at the hotel check in desk soon had things sorted for us on arrival The building itself is over 10 years old, but only in the past couple of years changed from a Days Inn to a Hilton Express, and the refurbishing at that time still looks fresh and clean today. On arrival (at around 9pm on a Wednesday) there was plenty of parking out front, with more around the back if needed. Right outside there are a couple of fast food options, with even more only a few 100m away easily reached on foot. Our rooms were clean and modern, a little hot on arrival (heating set quite high), but the windows can be opened right out (there is a catch the needs to be flipped to do this) and soon cooled down. Without air-conditioning I would be a little concerned about visiting in the hotter months of summer, but in late October everything was fine. My room had a comfy bed with the (almost now obligatory) mattress topper, cool-to-the-touch quality bed linens, and the pillow menu ensured a good nights sleep. The multiple lighting circuits allow a range of settings after dark; from bright/working at the desk, to relaxed/TV watching options. Plenty of electrical sockets at the desk too, but sadly none beside the bed (for phone charging & bedside clock function) The bathroom has a basin, toilet and large glass screened shower (no curtain required), and is ample for one person. There was an issue with the hot water in the shower on the morning of my final day. Housekeeping offered to send someone up immediately when I called to report this, but it was warm enough to finish showering and remove the soap/shampoo before I called. The warm towels from the heated radiator in the bathroom were appreciated on exiting the shower. Breakfast is provided, with the usual "Express" selection of hot and cold options. Good to see plenty of pastries on offer, both early and late. The staff replenishing the breakfast buffet were very friendly and helpful, even intercepting me on my way to the tray stacker with my used plate, taking it straight to the kitchen and wishing me a pleasant day as I left. They were busy keeping the buffet well stocked with fresh items at other times, and this was very much appreciated thank you. On check out the staff at the desk were incredibly efficient once again, apologising for the issues we had on arrival (even though these were nothing to do with IHG/Holiday Inn) and also told me that my shower mixing valve had an issue, and house keeping would be fixing it later that day - super efficient and very much appreciated once again. Overall a very pleasant stay, with attentive and friendly staff on hand 24/7. When heading this way again, I wouldn't hesitate to make another booking and look forward to returning in the future.

Arrived whilst very busy but quickly dealt with and keys handed over. Room very clean and tidy just right for a one night stop over. Unfortunately walls a little thin. Bar reasonably stocked and pleasant staff. Breakfast included great idea, your choice if you have it or not. We did and it was very enjoyable.

We are staying for the first time at this Holiday Inn at Nuneaton from sept 29 until oct 3. On our second day Sep 30 we left at 9.30 am thinking they have cleaned the room. When we entered arouns 10.45 pm the room was still a mess. We have stayed in hotels since i was young and never had been any incident that we have to tell them to clean the room. We have to pay a daily rate and as far as I know hotels must clean the rooms. I will never ever recommend this hotel..in fact this hotel should close down. I didnot beg to stay in this hotel as i paid the same like the others.

Not sure where all the positive reviews come from, cannot image anybody rates this above a 3 or tops a 4 when its cheap. My experience with the reception staff was dreadful and not worthy of working in hospitality. Complained about the awful noise from next door, reception had the balls to say "we dont pick our guests". Told him to fix it instead. He said he would call which after 10 min still hadnt happened so I went down to complain. He then lied saying he had rang, nonsense I could hear them sniff never mind a loud phone. After ringing music went down, surprise! Then asked to be moved rooms which they would offer the next day as they were full. Next day i ask reception in the morning just to make sure it's all good "yes dont worry". Come back after work and guess what didn't happen. Then the same "i dont pick guests" reception staff said he couldnt do anything and they knew they couldnt last night either. I then pointed out he was suggesting it himself to move so stop saying you cant and wiggle your way out. Eventually they found a room, surprise surpise. If you are not bothered with guests and fixing problems work somewhere else. You clearly don't care!! Breakfast was dire and everyone around me had the same opinion.. wouldn't stop talking about it. Go elsewhere and safe yourself the misery.

arrived in the evening and the hotel reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good too, they kept topping up everything,...[although fresh orange juice was well watered down, tasted like water] a few people were complaining between one another regarding that..but overall, good breakfast, even made me gluten free toast which i couldn't fault. Would perhaps have been good to have some grapefruit out in a bowl and oranges, but overall, cant fault it. would definitely stay here again.

I was asked by Holiday Inn to re-submit this review no less than 4 times! Determined not to give up, I persevered. Although the final review was 'sanitised' until it was acceptable to IHG, I have reverted to the original for the benefit of Trip Advisor readers. 1. After the first night under what felt like a winter duvet I asked the Housekeeper for a summer duvet and was assured this was no problem. When we arrived back at the hotel for the second night the duvet had not been changed and it was then too late to ask again. The housekeeper told me the maid had "misunderstood her instructions". 2. The hotel advertises complimentary ear plugs which we asked for after the first night. The hotel was out of stock but the receptionist said he would get some in. That night we asked again but were told they had been unable to acquire any ear plugs. My wife who was formerly in the hotel business said to me: "What happened to the system of always re-ordering when you reach the last box?" 3. The hotel did have vegetarian sausages available for breakfast – but only on request! They had to be cooked separately (and presumably defrosted) so that by the time they arrived on the first morning I had almost finished breakfast. The second morning I requested the same sausages as soon as I arrived in the dining room. The breakfast was a little basic, but there were croissants, granola and yoghurt available. The hotel had run out of butter on the second morning, so we had to make do with margarine. 4. The mattresses were firm and we had a comfortable sleep on both nights. 5. Two tiles on the bathroom floor were cracked. 6. The plastic floor of the shower had ‘raised sunbeams’ radiating out from the plug hole (presumably designed to lead the water towards it). However, they were awkward to stand on and potentially dangerous – certainly not ‘non-slip’. I did slip on one occasion but fortunately did not fall. 7. The hotel advertises it is cheaper to book direct. However we booked through Booking.com after telephoning Holiday Inn and being quoted a higher price than the former advertised on their website. This disparity might have been because we stayed over the August Bank holiday. 8. The attitude of all of the staff we encountered was exemplary. They were friendly, polite and helpful (putting aside they unable to deliver on two counts). I was subsequently offered 10,000 free points in compensation - whatever that equates to. I courteously replied that I would only return as a complimentary guest and would write another honest review if there was an improvement.
