Compared to Travelodge hotels, where you have to pay for wifi, breakfast, parking... this chain really came up trumps for us in Nuneaton. It's a drive into the town centre, but it's in a nice 'edge of town' shopping place, with a cinema and several eateries right on the doorstep. Bar is open 24 hours, it's friendly and clean. Breakfast is 'all you can eat' and open for 3 hours, plus veggie and gluten free options are available. Would definitely recommend staying here (and it was only fifty quid).
I stayed here on business and it was so noisy most of the night with either people talking or music playing, the hotel needs to do more to help people get a good night's sleep. I will not be staying here again
I paid £92 for a very basic ground floor room with heating that was like a furnace. No food in evening apart from pizza or chicken wings? I took the pizza for £10 - awful and microwaved. It was incredibly noisy and my room had an interconnecting door which did not contain the voices of 2 loud men in the next room. The hotel did ask them to lower noise level which I was very grateful for. I had already moved room after being next to another very noisy neighbour. Breakfast was beyond basic and I was the only female in the room which felt a bit uncomfortable! Helen on Reception was very good, just let down by a very poor product.
I'm glad we booked this hotel over others in the area which had negative reviews and not value for money. The Manager greeted us at the desk on check-in, was more than helpful. The free breakfast is generous, the rooms are pleasant and relaxing, shower is high power and fantastic! The staff are great, including the staff who organise breakfast at 6.30am every morning, the friendly cleaners and the very professional, helpful reception staff. I didn't expect modern day services to be so helpful. Recommended!
Does what it says on the tin and consistent with the HIE brand. Convenient location with good parking with cinema and eateries within walking distance. Very friendly and efficient check in. Room had good wifi, work station tea & coffee making facilities and strong shower. It was clean and I slept really well, but then I like a firm bed. Some background noise from the road. Breakfast was again the HIE Express offer which was perfectly acceptable to start your day. Would use this location again.
Perfect for business travellers, rooms are comfy and they even do smoking rooms...didn’t know this still happened. No on site restaurant so food can be purchased at venues around the hotel including subway, mac Donald’s. And a pub/restaurant. Easy to find and plenty of parking. Breakfast was okay with the facilities to grab and go if needed.
My sister and I spent two nights here whilst visiting friends in Nuneaton. The hotel was well priced and in a good location close to restaurants and the train station. Staff were friendly and the rooms clean enough. Breakfast was included which was just a buffet style with cooked and continental options. There were also ‘grab and go’ bags to take bacon and sausage rolls with you for the day which was a fantastic idea! Free WiFi and 24 hour bar were also great. Would definitely stay here again!
What seemed like a nice hotel upon entering was ruined by the most unconformable beds. The worst two nights sleep. The staff were lovely and helpful - breakfast on the first morning was cold looked like been there a while however the second morning the lady in the breakfast area gave us fresh hot food when asked!
We arrived late after 10pm, staff were very helpful, we had a toddler they accommodated us in having a travel cot. put in our room. Found staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, it was good to see them opening early at 06.30am. There is also a vegetarian option, our room was nice and clean, bed was very comfortable had good night sleep. We would come back again definitely. Cannot complain about anything really happy customer.
Location acceptable, staff good, room clean and warm, with acceptable amenities. On the downside; Although the bed was comfy to sit on, for some strange reason I found it very hard and impossible to sleep on. Luckily I was on my own in a double bed, so I arranged the duvet so I could lay on half and have half over the top of me, which helped a great deal and I was then able to sleep. The cooked breakfast was one of the worst I've ever been subjected to. The bacon was overcooked and hard, the sausages were cheap and nasty and there was a very limited choice of any other options (like only scrambled eggs, no fried bread, mushrooms, etc.) Definitely a place of last resort, rather than first choice.
