The area is living off its fame of Route 66 but has an unpleasant smell and is run down. The accommodation is clean but tired. AC is very very noisy and therefore couldn't get a good nights sleep. Breakfast area rather small.

Budget hotel in Barstow

This is a budget hotel in Barstow, well located for a stop between LA and Vegas. The hotel is cheap and cleanliness is as you’d expect for a chain hotel. Breakfast was poor with limited options and the only hotel I’ve ever been to where you have to ask for a waffle to be made for you. Rooms have sensor switches for lights that will flash red all night long, the floors are thinner then paper and every step can be heard by anyone in the room below, not helped by the wood style floor. Beds do have a decent mattress on a metal frame and a blanket between a sheet and a runner instead of a comforter. Overall it was a cheap night in a reasonably clean hotel that is trying to improve but sadly there are many better options close by that would be more comfortable.

Great stop off the interstate

It was a perfect motel for a stop off the interstate as a get a quick night sleep and back on the road. The bonus was a Dutch Bros 1/2 mile down.
