Noisy and not well-maintained

The room was well-appointed, but not well-maintained. The toilet was literally wobbly (i.e., not properly bolted to the floor) and in the main room there was a broken picture frame and odd stains on the walls. The front desk staff were brusk both at check-in and check-out. These are all fixable problems that other traverlers may not encounter. However, the thinness of the walls and the ability to hear actual, normal conversation and snoring through the walls is not a fixable problem.

Surprised that we found a Great a Great Place

Clean, super comfortable beds and lots of towels. Nathan, the front desk manager was excellent and allowed me to preview the room as we were traveling with our cat for the first time. Food and coffee walking distance.

Perfect way station

Great place to stay. Perfect for us halfway between our stops. Clean comfortable secure. Righton off highway easy access. Close to food, got Big Bear dinner and Freddy’s plus a bunch more Starbucks next door

The clerk suggested we walk to a diner down the road with our little girl . There was one drugee after another having trips in dark corners down the unlit street right outside of the parking lot of the hotel. Then we were creepily followed by a guy wanting our money. And then on our way back to the hotel a lady was scoping us out and handing stuff she’d collected to what seemed like bad dudes she was apparently working for. They went around us like they weren’t going to let us in the driveway. There were police at The gas station across the street that said they’d follow and watch us get back. So that’s how we got back. The clerk then admitted that they have a major homeless problem with panhandling and them trying to break into the pool regularly. It got so bad they now have a security officer walk their parking lot all night.
