We stayed here for 5 nights, the location is great , the breakfast in your room is a lovely touch which also included a bottle of fizz on our anniversary which was a really nice gesture, all the staff we met were very helpful and always smiling especially Fifi whom nothing seemed tobe to much trouble for her.We were on the 4th floor which kept us fit, the room was very comfortable and we would not hessitate to recommend this place to anyone and we would come back and stay here again. Really enjoyed our stay, Thank you.
Good accommodation, for my experience in Venice, the hotel is ok, good location, but NO elevator. The people at the hotel are very nice. The room is clean. The breakfast is simple, but you can have it at the floor balcony if you want. It is easy to walk around from the hotel.
Great little option in the San Marco area, close to both Rialto Bridge and San Marco square. Walkability to all areas in Venice is great and lots of food options close by. Easy access from train station, take #2 vaporetto to rialto stop. Walk up first main street to the right Calle Larga Manzinni and keep going straight. Turn left onto Calle dei Stagneri - there is a Tru Trussardi shop on the corner, and you will see the green and gold sign hanging not too far down. Is walkable but I would avoid the attempt if able! I had a room on the top floor, comfy bed, great size and very clean. Breakfast is brought to you on s tray to have in the room. Standard continental fare coffee, bread roll, croissant and yogurt. Stairs are rather narrow and steep and were a killer after walking around all day! The person at reception will help with luggage, although did not help with my large bag!! Only downside is that my room overlooked the outside courtyard on level 3, and a group of others came home late and proceeded to party there very loudly at 1am. Other than that I found the accommodation very quiet. Overall cannot beat the location and charm of this little hotel.
My girlfriend and I stayed here over Easter weekend. It was our first visit to Venice and therefore our first stay at Residents Goldoni, but we would love to come back to both! The location is perfect, just a stone's throw from the Rialto bridge and a 5/10 minute walk to St Mark's square but nestled in on a side street that's not too busy at all. The breakfast brought up to the room each morning was a great way to start each day, and there wasn't enough the staff could do for us, from directions to flowers and prosecco in the room, they did it all with a smile. Definitely want to return!
I stayed here because of the good TripAdvisor reviews. Mistake! Don't stay here. The housekeeping screams across floors for conversations at 8:30 am with other hotel workers. They don't watch your luggage when you leave it (I found others unattended luggage mid-afternoon) and you can hear the night shift receptionist snoring at 4 am if you stay on the first floor. Room 115 faces the exterior air conditioner which buzzes three times an hour. Not the best place for light sleepers and I wore industrial quality ear plugs every single night and morning. VERY LOUD and noisy. THEY UPGRADED A STAIRWELL AT 8 am ON A SATURDAY. LOUD HAMMERING AND DRILLING. The breakfast is unhealthy: sugar powdered croissants, jam and cappuccinos with too much froth. Best to pay 20€ extra a night elsewhere, it will certainly be worth the splurge, believe me. How can you enjoy the beauty of Venice when you're not well rested?
We stayed here for 2 nights in April 2017. A bit of a mammoth hike from the central station due to all of the bridges (yet do-able in approx 25/30 minutes), alternatively the expensive waterbus will take you to ponte rialto and from there its maybe a 3/4 minute walk. Lovely bedroom and clean bathroom (strange shower door - this was replaced during our stay but both shower doors allowed water to seep out and cover the tiled floor?). Breakfast brought to the room on a tray, at a time of your choice, is adequate and enough to fill you up for a long day out. Great proximity to st marks square/ rialto bridge. Would stay here again!
Excellent B&B style accommodation in a great location. Very clean and well appointed rooms with continental breakfast served on a tray in your room. Great value for a central Venice hotel, literally 2 minutes walk from Rialto Bridge and less than 10 minutes from St Marks square. Would certainly stay again.
Just got back from a 2 night stay. Lovely little hotel with friendly, helpful staff. We arrived early after walking past it about 3 times! We couldn't check in until 2pm which wasn't a problem as you can leave your luggage there and come back at the right time. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed in it, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, hand wash, shower gel, safe, wifi, tv and a really comfortable bed! Took us a while how to get the heater to work but once we did it was lovely and warm when we came back at the end of the night. The location is great and everything is easily reached. We walked nearly 30 miles in the 3 days we were there as there was a lot going on due to the carnival. Would definitely stay there again.
This hotel is very well located - for seeing venice. Few minutes from vaporetto stop, Rialto bridge and San Marco. Front desk staff were very helpful. The room that we stayed in was on the top of the stairs. Very cute and clean. Breakfast in the hotel is substantial. But there are good cafe near the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel
Pros: - located 2 minutes from Rialto vaporetto station, 5 minutes from San Marco. Shops, restaurants are in the neighbourhood. - clean room and bathroom and just enough space for 4 persons in a family room - superb water temperature and pressure in the shower - basic, but plentiful continental breakfast served to your room. No cooked breakfast option however and no refill if needed. For a full breakfast you have to look somewhere else. - out room on the third floor was perfectly silent, no noise from street or adjacent rooms. - helpful reception staff Cons: - if you expect a hotel: it is not. No lobby, no bar or restaurant. Just a small reception, stairways and corridors. Some floors have a kind of tiny terraces for common usage. - reception is open only 8am to 8pm. Didn't bother us, main door opens with key. - steep stairways, someone might find it a problem
- Walking distance to Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Basilica
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Concierge services
- 24-hour front desk
