We had a single room and a suite booked for our two nights in Venice. The suite was not very large for 4 people as it was two open rooms with no privacy. The fourth bed was a roll away type bed. The bathroom was so small that it was challenging to move between the vanity and toilet. Our single room was so small that you could barely move around the bed and the bathroom was a similar layout. A friend stayed at the same property and said the rooms facing the canal were bigger. The breakfast was excellent and the staff couldn't have been better. Our daughter left a card with $200 USD and the hotel found it and mailed it to us after we called to inquiry. AMAZING! Near the Peggy Guggenheim and bridge across the Grand Canal to St Marks Square.
The most amazing hotel, in a fantastic (seemingly unknown) location. Close to public transportation, shopping, and the main tourist locations. We booked a gorgeous room overlooking the canal, and the balcony made it worth it. Right next to a highly rated (according to TripAdvisor) restaurant, which was so great we visited twice. Staff went above and beyond for us, and we would recommend this place to anyone visiting Venice, whether it's your 1st or 50th visit.
For our trip this hotel was perfect. It’s away from the busy square but only a 20 min walk from St Marco sq. we found the food and bars in this area far better than anything near the square. It’s got easy access to two main ferry/water bus terminals and ultimately was very clean and had a modern feel to the rooms. We visited a few days before Christmas and it was 1 degrees, the hotel room was warm and cosy with frestive lights down the street and a small market at the end, just great all round.
Excellent hotel. Clean tidy and most definitely the BEST breakfast spread you are going to have anywhere . Hotel is a short little walk from the main high streets but wonderful shows and restaurants on your door step . Right on the canal and overall wonderful hotel full 5 stars from me
Quick trip into Venice . Hotel was fantastic everything we could have needed for a place of rest . Short 5 min walk from the main areas and wonderful restaurants close by .we will most definitely be visiting them again.
Lovely location - very close to the Accademia and Guggenheim and easy access to SAN Marco but off the tourist trail. Also right next to a canal which was lovely. Lots of great restaurants within a 10 minute walk and bars too near the Campo SAN Margarita. Staff were helpful and professional. Room was what you would hope for - clean, nicely furnished and well equipped. On the small size but I think I’m Venice this is probably what you get and there was enough room without being cramped. A plentiful breakfast with lots of options. Would stay again and recommend highly.
The location of this hotel is great for first-timers to Venice as well as seasoned travelers. It's very close to the Accademia water bus stop but also near to the Zattere stop as well. From the train or bus station, it's a leisurely water bus ride to Accademia (Vaporetto 1 or 2 - just make sure they don't end at Rialto!) and a very short and easy walk (just one bridge) to the hotel. Just follow the directions on the hotel's website and you'll be fine. If you're traveling light, you can also walk fairly easily from the train or bus station (it's about a 20 minute walk depending on your pace and it's well sign-posted). If you have an early morning flight, bus, or train to catch, having the ability to walk to the stations is huge because the night services with the water buses are not frequent. Another thing that's great about the location of this hotel is that it's a fairly easy walk to most sites in Venice. I understand Venice isn't a large city, but it is tricky to get around. Saint Mark's can be reached in about 15 minutes or so and the views across the Accademia Bridge are breathtaking. Breakfast was plentiful, diverse, and of good quality. I was never hungry at lunchtime, so this was a great way to save a bit on the budget. I'm not a big breakfast eater, but I was disappointed in the food quality of most of the restaurants I visited in Venice; as such, starting the day with a good breakfast was helpful. Breakfast doesn't start until 7:30, so that can be a bit of a challenge if you have an early day planned. Staff were all very friendly and pleasant. My room was okay - I had a double canal view room on the first floor that overlooked the San Vio canal. You could also see a small section of the Grand Canal. It was a lovely and peaceful view. That was definitely the best part of the room, and if you go in the off season, a canal view room is reasonably-priced, particularly during the week as opposed to the weekend. A few niggles about the room - the HVAC system was a bit loud. I stayed at the hotel for about a week and learned through experience that if you keep it around 20 centigrade, it's fairly quiet and consistent. If you set it much higher than that though, it can get quite loud and works less consistently. Also, the walls are quite thin so you will be able to hear your neighbors. My double bed was actually two mattresses pushed together, which isn't the most comfortable situation, but it's okay in the short-term. The worst part of the room though was the bathroom. Like most European hotels, it's quite small. You just have to be very careful when you are in there. The shower/bath combination is a bit tricky too as the surface area isn't flat. I slipped once but luckily did no harm. The shower is of the low--flow variety, so it takes a bit longer to wash your hair. The built-in hair dryer is powerful so you will be fine, but just be careful as you don't have much space in the bathroom. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
Our travel agent hooked us up at this comfortable, cute, convenient hotel. We really enjoyed our rooms and the staff was great and always helpful. Breakfast was included in our package and they always provided a delicious breakfast. We met Larry who was a server and bartender at the hotel. He always had a smile on his face and he would always go above and beyond to help us with anything we wanted/needed. We would stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay while in Venice.
We arrived at the hotel late in the evening and were greeted by a friendly face at the desk. He immediately pointed out that most restaurants closed at 10pm, but the restaurant next door would be open till 11pm. We promptly went around for a late dinner and drinks! The room was at the top of the hotel on the canal side and was clean and roomy for the 3 of us. It also proved to be in the best location as all we wanted to see was an exhibition at the Palazzo Grassi and the Punta della Dogana, and visit the Peggy Guggenheim Museum . Breakfast was also very well laid out with lots of food choices and self service. The bar was a good area to chill out after a long day. I would stay at this hotel again.
Really enjoyed this hotel, great location for walking to major sites. The staff was welcoming and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and directions. The room was comfortable and the shower was amazing! Breakfast choices were never ending and delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel!
