Perfect stay in Venice in late March. The hotel staff was very helpful, the hotel was clean and quiet. They even had sparkling wine in the breakfast buffet. We ended up going to a lovely jazz concert as per suggestion from the hotel reception.

I stayed at the American Dinesen last week and thought it was great. The room, while it did not have a canal view, was beautiful spacious and had a delightful view of the roofs and court yards of neighboring buildings. Venice is overrun with tourists so it is nice to have a smaller, yet stylish hotel to retreat to after a long day of battling the crowds. The location is my opinion perfect, close to the Academia Bridge and Vapereto stops and close to fantastic restaurants. A 10-15 min walk has you in any part of the city where the crowds are crazy. The breakfast was also a nice addition and frankly a must for any hotel if you don't wish to eat baked goods every morning. I stayed at another very nice hotel close by to the Dinesen which was slightly more expensive a year earlier and I much preferred the Dinesen from a cost and value perspective.

I can't express how amazing the locale and hotel are! The bed was super comfy and our view was beyond what I had hoped for. The cost was worth the stupendous breakfast we were served. From the wait staff to the very helpful front desk people, it was nothing short of an amazing stay for my husband and I. Thank you!! We will be back!!

Myself and my daughter had a 3 day stay at the hotel - a little gem - ideal for visiting all the sights especially the galleries. Very close to the water buses but in a quiet side street so-very relaxing. Excellent service from the staff, a lovely room and superb breakfast. Will come again and would recommend to my family and friends.

Our first time to Venice and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful floating city with lots of history . Hotel situated on the canal with beautiful view. Ideal location for sightseeing . We will definitely return to this hotel

Stayed 2 nights here between Florence and Rome. The commute from the train station is very easy taking the water taxi. It drops you off at the Accademia stop and the hotel is a short walk from the water taxi. It is in a lovely part of town away from the crowds.

Spent 3 nights there as it was a recommendation from a former client, The Hotel sits away from the beaten path, which is a blessing at night time and you want to slumber, The Rooms are clean and tidy up, the Mini Bar is well appointed, The hotel has laundry services for a fee, but it is nice to have the option. There are Gelato/Sandwich/Restaurants a few hundred meters away from the grounds. Has its own Taxi service to Murano, and the staff is super helpful

We have just returned having spent four nights here, our room was very nice, the staff and management great and the breakfast was superb. We thoroughly recommend this hotel. It is in an excellent position for getting to any part of Venice with ease. Buy a prepaid ticket for the Vaporettos, they give you unlimited use for the time bought and make it possible to visit Murano or Burano or any place you want to visit.

We stayed at the Hotel American Dinesen for 3 night in the middle of March and we were impressed from start to finish. Marco and the rest of the staff were very attentive to our individual needs and friendly. Nothing was a problem and they went out of their way to accommodate us, making our stay comfortable and pleasant. The room was typically Venetian and very clean. All necessary amenities were provided and of a high standard. The breakfast had a good selection to cater for every taste and dietary needs. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will have no hesitation in staying here during our next visit to Venice.

Since 2012 we use to spend a 10 days stay in this excellent hotel . And we hope to come next year for the 8th time !! Ok we have friends in Venice and love the city . But the HAD itself is super . Certainly to be warmly recommended
