Usually when our family goes on vacation we do not spend a lot of time at the hotel during the day. We use the room to shower sleep and eat breakfast. We expect our room to be in a good location, clean, good breakfast and with great A/C. This hotel met my needs. Thank you!

The hotel doubles as a conference centre, so it was quite busy and you get the feel of a business hotel. But saying that, the place was impressive and huge. It was split between two hotels with a marina in the middle, very tranquil if you want to sit on the loungers and relax. There’s not a lot to do in Mestre, but regular buses outside of the hotel take 20 mins to get into beautiful Venice.

The hallways are cold, not enough heating available inside. There is no access from one building to the next so guests have to walk outside after checking in at one building if their rooms are on the next building. The front desk cannot give accurate directions on how to get to the island. Using google maps is a better option. The shower needs refurbishing and there are no complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste.

I was here for a business conference and apart from the location not being great for Venice Island it is a lovely hotel with a marina in the middle of the two hotel buildings. I found the service excellent the rooms were well decorated and mine was really quiet. The maid service was efficient and the rooms very clean. As a group we spent a lot of time in the bar and the service was good, our conference was very well organised and all the A/V equipment worked very well. All in all a good place to stay for business.

Didn't really enjoy the layout of the hotel (I guess that's what you get when you go for the cheaper option). Bed was comfy but shower was outdated and a bit grubby. Unfortunately the cleaners did not clean our room one day as the 'do not disturb' sign had appeared on our door (Very weird). Breakfast was nice, enjoyed the pastries. On the other hand the eggs were horrible - avoid!

Great location - bus station in front of the hotel - direct bus to Venice every 30 mins! Friendly staff - Great breafast (one plus on Sundays breakfast served til noon) Really big room with a great view to laguna!

Definetely not aligned w/ NH value and selling proposition, you can luckily and hopefully find in other Italian cities. 1. Slow check-out with mistakes during payment process more than once 2. Very low laundry service level: - Left 2 shirts on thursday, asking for return the monday after (I had a reservation for the week after and it was the 5th week spent at NH Palace Mestre) - received on tuesday night instead of monday - On a second occasion, no laundry bag was left and I left my shirt below an A4 paper sheet saying: "Da stirare/lavare con riconsegna entro sera. Ps: Manca modulo e busta lavanderia", Room number and signature. Furthermore, I also expressely noticed the room cleaner I met leaving my room in the morning - the shirt was left on the table 3. More than once, minibar/snack supplies were not refilled Beyond the lack of a caring and precise service, it's also an economic loss, given that both laundry and minibar services are not for free. Definetely not aligned w/ NH standard value/selling proposition.

Hi NH Laguna, I will clearly write in detail of what I faced during my stay. I did not spend too many times at the hotel, but My experiences from my very first step in, was average for 4 star hotel. 1. We couple arrived late night, since we had walked from Train Station under the rain. We were totally wet. I dont see any Bellman who may help out for our luggage. There may be SOP or manning of the hotel that no bellman needed for business hotel, I understand that. I have taken out my passport and booking and wait on the line, in front of check-in counter (there was another guest at first). I thought that there was only 1 FO clerk working night-shift; but it was not. There is another senior staff seating at back office, because he one who assisted us after that, is a Trainee (her nametag stated so) No big deal that we had to wait for few minutes till out turn for chrck-in, but at least the staff should paid attetion for customer who was waiting with wet clothes and have a late check-in. Even, the senior staff came out once while we were waiting, but seemly she did not wanna look around for customer, she was busy with some reports at back office. Come on, your customers were in front of you, you will have plenty of time for those reports and so on. There is no hastle on the trainee, she welcomed us with her smile and tried her best to assist us, although it was abit slow. She (a trainee) took a good training (I guess so), because she confirmed my corespondance correctly and very detailed. Because of that, I took a little slow for check-in proces, although we just wanted to get the room for quick shower and rest. She took the credit card for guarantee incidental charges, so I asked her whether we can deposit in € cash. Then, she asked her senior then she said “cannot”. (This might be hotel policy) Alright, no problem at all, I issued my credit card and told her that I do not want any charge on my card, it is fine that you can verify or taking number only. Then, she told me that she wont charge my card, she just take card number and make sure “I dont go away” .....!? <~ fine, I understand what she meant, but you shouldn’t say that to customer. We traveled from Vietnam, where 16 hours away, not to go away without payment, I was not offensive at that time but other you will put yourself in trouble with others. Besides, I was apprecited that hotel has give me an upgrade for my room due to availability. And also, there was a gift (a voucher or invitation letter) in the room when I checked in, which I could not find it at all. I finally got into my room, room is big, clean but a bit of unsmartly set up for room facilities. - no coffee & tea - the bed side-tables’s drawer could not be opened - no kettle - the desk was closed to bed, which you put the bed side tables, it makes the bed side table blocks the chair to move out. So, I have to move the bed side table away. I also look for a gift that I mentioned above but there is none. I also informed FO clerk and received an answer that they will check with manager and get back to us; eventually There was not any feedback, I dont bother any more. The breakfast was a make up point from FB team; foods are good, nice decoration, good coffee. But also, There were 2 minus point - we borrowed 2 forks and we have to go down to Restaurant to get it, there was a busy night at restaurant I guess. - PLEASE change your welcome drink. What the point of set up a welcome drink for customer while customer has to get welcome drink as a public drink, the pipe of container was working well, and the taste was Yuck!. It does not feel Welcome at all if you serve customer that kind of drink. Water is even better choice! My check out is smoothly done because I used on 1 coke from mini bar. I stored my luggage because I have a late flight. Once I came back in the evening to get my luggage, another bad service happened again. I was holding luggage tag and again waiting after few check in guests. There were 2 clerks at Front Desk and another on at back office again. 1 clerk was busy wih check-in guest and anothe one is stuggling win another Chinese guest from far desk. During the time, there were 2-3 men came in to check-in and they also had to wait for their turn. The first clerk has done with check-in guest and I thought that she will approached me for assistance but NOT. I was not a lucky one Again! She came to another desk to help out her colleague, who was struggling with a Chinese guy. And she asked her colleague to take over her job, the colleague then came to my side but approached to another 3 due-in men. Alright, I had to wait then. I was about 10 - 15 mins for my inquiry, I think if you hotel has such a bellman or guest relation, they may help out while Front Desk clerks are busy. I believe that NH is chain hotel with number of property in Europe, I did not have chance to study about NH’s standard, compared to other hotel chains, but I think that havin standard with proper training and cross check, is much better than leaving staff with words of standard and no leading way in working. I do think you have such a nice property and hotel chain leading. Please do not let it swipe away simply. People is important to bring your hotel up. This is the second time that we had stayed in this hotel. It is not in the city center but you have a bus stop close to the hotel. Just ask the concierge and they will help you. The rooms are a good size and clean. The buffet breakfast is good. Employees are nice and helpful. If you want to visit San Marco, you would need to ride the bus and go to the water boat landing. Just make sure that you come back before dark for the buses gets very full. Also as in any tourist area beware of pickpockets. My husband almost lost his wallet.
