My family of 2 adults and 2 small children stayed here for a quick family getaway. It was so much fun! Rooms was nice and the facility was great

The staff was friendly and professional. The cleanliness of the room could be improved. The carpets were dirty, bathroom grout had mold growing and furniture was in poor condition.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Relaxing and easy to be there. The area around the resort was fun exploring.

My family spent the night on a weekday, and the hotel was not too busy. The water park was great for my 4 and 8 year old. One of the water slides did need a bit more water to make it a faster, but either eat, my kids enjoyed the slides, especially with the two man inner tube. Very clean and classy. Worth the stay!

The carpets in the room had vomit stains, with filth marks all over the room and 'flys' hovering around. Complained to the front desk about the situation, the solution she suggested that to provide me with a 'fly swatter'. Asked for a change of room, new room door did not lock. Mechanic came an hour after to fix the door. Most disgusting place, 'a dump' that I had to put up with.

Easy access offf freeway. Nice place and clean, modern

This place has cheapo fake wood furniture, a restaurant that is an illusion in the minds of the owners whomever that is. Seems to have games etc for children but if you are over 5 stay away. Thei "meeting" rooms are truly awful. This place could be used as a horror destination for a Halloween party.

I was travelling to Eau Claire for work and wanted to stay somewhere other than a chain hotel room. This place was a nice alternative. The room was clean, different, and they have their own energy saving policy that I appreciated. Good value.

Recently attended a wedding here. The rooms were nice, clean and spacious. The pillows left something to be desired but if that is the biggest complaint then it is usually a good sign. I did not use the waterpark and only walked around Action City but my friends all said Action City was a good time. The breakfast was okay taste wise (waffles, eggs, biscuits & gravy, hashbrowns, cereal, baked goods) and it got more points in my book for being included in the price of the room. It was also pretty entertaining to watch people struggle with the waffle makers.

I have been to this hotel/resort with the whole family, but this time it was my best friend and I for a night away from the kids. We did not go to action City or the Splash waterpark, instead we relaxed in our room and did facials and pedicures. There was plenty of room so we had our own space. I was amazed at how quiet the hotel was. We had an issue with the heater in the room but someone was able to fix it quickly. If I could find this rate again after Christmas I would definitely bring the whole family.

The Metropolis was a very nice and up to date hotel. The only thing I would have liked to have seen is free access to the water park and play area. When I have traveled to other hotels that have water parks, this has been included for each person staying in the room.

This would have received a higher rating if I had traveled with kids. My wife's biggest disappointment was that she did not remember seeing "no pool use" with the reservation and she expected to swim in their pool. Then I would have paid more to use the slides and action city. But as it was a conference, we heard noise in the hall, music playing over the speakers in the hall (while in the room) and was not impressed with the novelty items because there was no instruction manual with the room (i.e., the alarm wakes you up by vibrating the bed... turn it off with the lights turned on).

The waterpark was geared toward younger children....it did have 3 larger waterslides which were very nice. They are not open all day during the week, only evenings so you could be very bored without access to a pool/whirlpool during their "off" hours. The rooms were VERY clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good but not great. It was VERY crowded and hard to find a place to eat in the morning. Action City was a bit expensive unless you purchase a package. The pizza there was GREAT and reasonably priced.

The hotel was very convenient to I94 and area had lots of food and shopping options. U of Eau Claire was within reasonable distance. Hotel lobby and rooms were decorated very nice for the business traveling or couples. Confused why they would put a water park and amusement park on either end of the hotel - seems to have an identity crisis. Loved the comp'd breakfast with eggs to order. Rooms were nicely done, clean and impressive. Unfortunately, the bed was a huge disappointment -- very hard and lead to restless night.
