The staff here couldn't have been more helpful and they all speak English. We had a Seaview room and found it well equipped with fairly new fittings. The bathroom had a shower which was fairly efficient and new. Be aware that it's not normal in Italy to provide kettles and knowing this we brought a travel kettle. There were power points and a fridge plus safe all provided. The breakfast choice was good although we only dined in once for dinner as though the food was very nice similar meals could be had cheaper elsewhere. We would definitely recommend this hotel. One word of warning it's a fifteen minute walk away from the vaporetto station and you need to know exactly where it is before setting off. Alternatively hire an expensive taxi.
This hotel is just lovely. It is situated on the Adriatic side of Lido, overlooking the long sandy beach. It is about 15 minutes walk from the Vaporetto station, but the walk is very pleasant, along residential roads with grand houses, over canals and with views over the lagoon to San Marco. Alternatively there is a bus stop outside of the hotel which is free if you already have an ACTV waterbus ticket - just validate inside the bus. Staying on Lido meant using the waterbuses, which is great fun! The waterbus to St Marks Square takes about 15 minutes. We were lucky enough to be given a suite with separate lounge, lovely bedroom and spacious bathroom (shower over bath). We were immediately struck by how clean the suite was and this continued throughout our three day stay. The suite was quiet, with a view to the side of the hotel - we liked it very much. Breakfast was served in the very nice restaurant overlooking the beach. There was a very good selection of hot and cold items including scrambled eggs and bacon, cereals, fruits, yoghurts, cold meats and cheese, cakes, and the usual breads, croissants, jams, honey, different coffees, teas, etc. We had plenty to eat each morning to give us a good start to the day. We ate in the restaurant each night of our stay. There is a very good value two course daily special as well as a very full a la carte menu. We particularly enjoyed the fish but all the food we had was well cooked and tasty and side salads were so fresh. Also nice starters and desserts - and the bread is to die for! The restaurant staff were very helpful and efficient ; and they were able to explain things to us despite our total lack of Italian. Indeed, all the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. This hotel has got everything right in our view, and if we ever come to Venice again, we would not hesitate to stay in Venezia 2000.
Just booked for September with “Pay at the property” No prepayment Find they debit account for 300 Euro as a check on the Credit/Debit card. Bit excessive in my opinion ! Apparently it will be credited in up to 10 days ? Where does it say that in the booking process ? Bit naughty??
I have always liked this nice hotel and I love to come back almost every year. The parking in the hotel is free of charge as well as the wi-fi connection. The staff is very kind, experienced and helpful. They are always ready to recommend a nice restaurant to eat in, a good concert to see or a museum to visit. Do not hesitate to book this hotel especially in the summer because the beach is right in front of the hotel and ask for the room with sea view.
Average room, clean & tidy with good storage & a safe. Large, luxurious bathroom, always warm. No tea or coffee making facilities but staff were happy to provide a kettle & cups when asked. Excellent buffet breakfast. Happy hour 6-7. Good evening meal choices. All the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly the lovely waitress. For warmer weather there is private beach access and an upstairs solarium.
Very nice value for money hotel. We had a room in the main hotel which was a decent size. En suite had a shower which was very good. Room was spotlessly cleaned every day. Breakfast was very good with a wide range of items to chose from. We ate in the hotel several times and enjoyed what we had. Price was favourable compared to other restaurants in Lido. Staff were great and always willing to help. The hotel is around 15 minutes’ walk from the water bus stops in Lido, you can take a bus from outside the hotel, but we didn’t bother. Getting to the hotel from the airport is simplicity itself, you just follow the signs for the water bus its around 600m by travellator. You need to look for the company Alilaguna and you want the blue line. You can buy a return ticket from various terminals in the airport or at the ticket office at the departure point. Be aware that whilst the instructions on the terminals can be changed to English the display on the chip and pin terminal doesn’t follow so if your Italian isn’t that great it may be better to get your ticket at the office. From Lido in to Venice itself you need the vaporetto water busses and you can buy a 3 day or a week’s pass. Either allow you unlimited use including the other islands. Some boats go direct to one location like St Marks others call at all the stops. Just check the departures board. We really enjoyed staying on Lido. You dip in to Venice by day and escape at night. It’s a bit like commuting. We got ourselves in to a great routine, excellent breakfast in hotel, brisk walk to boats, full day in Venice back by five, nip in to the excellent Bar Maleti Giorgio for a coffee. We stayed in late February and although Venice was busy it was nowhere near as busy as it gets later in the year. Don’t expect it to be particularly warm we even had snow for a couple of days which is very unusual. Navigating in Venice can be tricky but one thing we did that worked well for us was to go by the signs for per S.Marco of per Rialto or Per Accademia and son on. You will see them at high level and you simply follow the trail. I would highly recommend this hotel as a base for visiting Venice. If you visit in warmer weather, there is a beach literally across the road.
Staying at the hotel at the moment. It is located on Lido island Venice opposite the beach. The rooms are spotless and comfortable. The staff are so lovely, friendly and helpful. This will be a super location in the summer. Been snowing for us but the hotel is fab. Meals have been great too x just had a lovely evening meal and breakfasts are faultless with lots of choice.
Just arrived back from a snowy beautiful Venice. Our trip was all the better for having stayed at the Venezia 2000. Spotlessley clean hotel, that lived upto its standard of offering value for money. The staff are very friendly and couldnt do enough to help. Breakfasts very good and its a great place to eat with a varied menu. I would highly recommend this hotel as a great base for visiting Venice and close to amenities and a short boat ride away from the hustle and bustle of san zacharia and san marco. Close to the beach with great views. I would definetly return again,
We stayed in Venezia Hotel for 4 nights.I choose this hotel because is not far from Venice using vaporeto and is positioned just opposite from beach. Hoped I will enjoy walking by the beach while we were there but it was snowing in Venice. We was not lucky with the weather to fully enjoy the all what hotel can offer. However we enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I booked standard double room. We were given room with the view to the see. Thanks!, I enjoyed the view in the morning. Room was comfortable we had everything we needed. They don’t provide tea fasilities in the room. Not all hotels in Europe provide this facility. Reading previous comments I brought my travel kettle. No problem. There is mini bar in the room with essential drinks for additional charge .Room was cleaned every day.I can just say “Big thank you” to the four ladies cleaning the rooms in the hotel. We didn’t have chance to meet them but they do great job.. Towels are replenish every day . Bathroom very good. It looks it was reacently redecorated. Ours was with shower.. Anyway I don’t need bath while traveling for several days. Read in previous comments old carpets in the room? Not in our room.. It looked like laminate flooring and it was clean under our bed.. Breakfast was very good what you can expect in Europe. We enjoyed. Plenty to choose from. They can provide anything you want for additional charge, but we are in Italy not in U.K,so don’t expect full English breakfast.. Opposite of the hotel is the bus stop to take you to water bus.. if you don’t want to walk.. to the centre in Lido. Over all we enjoyed our stay and would return again..”Big Thanks” to all the staff at the hotel to make our time enjoyable...
Hotel was quiet as was Venezia Lido. It is very clearly a holiday island. The room was spacious and double fronted with views to Venice and the beach. Breakfast were excellent lots of choice. We ate in the Hotel restaurant both nights and chose from the menu of the day.Very good choices and well presented.
