Right on a canal Had coffee right on the water Nice staff Beautiful

We found this hotel very convenient and clean. The hotel staff was so courteous and extremely helpful! Staying at this hotel definitely enhanced our trip!

The Room was fair roomy for three. Staff well informed and eager to help the newcomers. The hotel is located close to the San Marco square. Maybe not adequately located if you are bringing too many luggage like us.! You will be in the heart of Venice!

I like the staff they are very friendly helpful and very kind the location also good close to every thing

Good hotel, very good staff, near everything. The room is very nice, new and very clean. The decoration are unique. The breakfast are very good. In a quiet place. You can take your breakfast outside and see the gondolas. I recomend

A bit difficult to locate once off the water taxi, but once settled in, it was perfect. Comfy, clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was adequate and tasty. Well worth the tariff and effort finding it !

Great hotel!! Very nice staff, lovely room and excellent location!!

Not the easiest hotel to find, but it is a comfortable walk to a lot of tourist attractions. If I were to do it again, I'd probably stay closer (walking distance) from the train station - this requires a boat ride to get to! It is easier to catch a boat down the canal to see the attractions, rather than having to take all your luggage on/off boats.

I decided to visit Venice at the last minute and found a great deal for Becher Hotel in the middle of July. It was a bit hard to find the hotel, but it's located in the heart of many great sites. Becher Hotel is 5 minutes from Piazza San Marco, 10 minutes from the Rialto bridge, and 15 minutes from the Gallerie dell'Accademia. There are also many shops and restaurants nearby. The room itself was not big, but it was clean with a Venetian feel and a direct view into a small canal. Breakfast was included, which was convenient. And the staff was great; they were super helpful with directions. If I ever go back to Venice, I'd definitely stay there again.

small but pleasant room. close to San Marcus and to good restaurants

Hard to find initially, the hotel clerk gave excellent directions by phone. Located within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Rooms are nicely updated. I would recommend this hotel. Adequate breakfast included.

Accommodations were typical for a European hotel. Small room and average breakfast, but the location was excellent and the hospitality of the front desk staff was superb. They bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed and helped with directions, dinner recommendations, and even offered us a free bottle of wine after getting taxed 118 euros for not having our water taxi ticket validated prior to boarding. They arranged a private water taxi to pick us up right at their dock to take us to the airport on our return, which was worth every penny versus taking the cattle barge that stops at 20 different docks prior to reaching the San Marco dock (and fined us for not having "validated" tickets).

Hotel was in an excellent location -- close to San Marco square and other sights. Room was clean and the location was quiet. The staff was quite helpful and courteous. The hotel was hard to find. I had to ask a waiter at a local restaurant where the hotel was located. The address says it is on San Marco street but we found it on Calle Barcaroli (I think). I did see one street sign for San Marco. The streets seem to have more than one name so it is difficult to find an address or use a map. The hotel is just West of the canal bridge crossing by a few yards.

An excellent, fantastic experience. The staff, hotel, location (the best, could see all the gondolas pass by!!)and the breakfast were awesome! The water taxi dropped us at the entrance and picked us up to take us to the cruise. We arrive without suitcases and the staff kept calling the airline to find them! Spotless room and bathroom. Our family enjoyed our stay. We want to go back:) They were 6 of us. All of us were impressed!

We arrived at 12 and were told we could check in at 2, but they kept our bags for us and gave us a place to clean up. The room was beautiful, and when we asked for separate beds, they separated them for us. They gave us maps and helped us with whatever we needed, even preparing a breakfast for us at 6:30 because we were being picked up at 7. Nice people, very nice place, and a great location between San Marco and the Rialto.

Lovely hotel - and we were lucky enough to have rooms that overlooked the canal. Interesting to watch during the day, quieted at night. I supposed you could get there by public transportation, but what do you want as your first erxperience in Venice - time pulling luggage over cobblestones and up/down bridges (no matter how good the directions are) or a lovely water taxi that delivers you to the friendly inn's personal dock? I know which we chose and it remains one of my favorite memories of Venice. Close to St, Marks (again, if you get the directions right), clean, well priced, and attendeded by friendly owners. Nice breakfast included - but doesn't have a restaurant attached so no room service. Even so, I would stay there again without hesitation!

We spent 2 nights at this cute little hotel, which is very well situated - about a 10 minute walk from San Marcos in one direction and the Rialto Bridge in the other. The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely nice. The room we had was a triple, and we were very comfortable, but I must admit that the room was pretty small with the third bed in it. (But who spends much time in the room when they can be out exploring Venice?) Breakfast was very good - bread, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. but no hot food. We loved it!

The staff was gracious and welcoming and very efficient. Our room was lovely, spacious and quiet. Our room overlooked the canal which was charming and the breakfast was delicious with great service. Every detail was handled efficiently. I would definitely stay at the Becher again.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Given canal-view room as requested on reservation.

Small hotel in very convenient location near La Fenice Opera House. Owners went out of their way to leave us a tray for breakfast when they found out we had to leave at 5 AM for the airport. We moved from a "5 star hotel" that had AC problems to this hotel that had perfectly working AC. They have their own canal entrance, so we could have the water taxi at 5 AM without having to drag our luggage anywhere. Very satisfied with Becher Hotel.
