Hotel was right on the canal, near several restaurants, bus to the airport and People Mover to the port. We had no idea what to expect, but in addition to the location, this charming hotel was amazingly cute, and quiet. We arrived early (10:00 AM) both before and after our cruise, and only waited one time for our room, that for an hour. We loved the welcome glass of proseco, and five euros for breakfast was a good deal.

A five minute walk from the train station, Hotel Olympia was a welcome site to weary travelers! This beautiful, clean and friendly staffed hotel was the perfect place for our group of five friends. The breakfast was outstanding and the rooms were lovely. I would be comfortable recommending Hotel Olympia to even the most discriminating visitor to Venice.

Great location. Wonderful friendly staff I recommend Hotel Olimpia

Everything exceed my expectation. The highlight is the breakfast @ EUR 5.

The Olimpia is a very nice hotel that is conviently located to the cruise and bus terminal. It serves a great breakfast that is reasonably priced with a great staff. We enjoyed our two nights there before our cruise!

Hotel Olympia is a short distance from the train station and located on a small canal. The staff is very professional and informative...willing to answer questions and carry on a conversation about the area and history of the hotel. Be sure to sign up for the hotel breakfast...its delicious. And you can sit inside or on the patio. Rooms may not be large...but you don't spend much time there. Great place.

This nice hotel very close to the public watertransport is ideal when you are accompanied by older people. They can enjoy the nice garden while the younger members enjoy the city. On the other hand, public water transport is not far away so every one has a perfect starting point for visiting the city. Personnel is extremely helpful and understanding. Great experience !!

Great affordable hotel located in a canal close to The Gran Canal and steps from the Plaza for the airport buses and train.

This hotel is right across the canal from the main bus depot from the mainland, which is also where the vaporetos depart for everywhere in Venice, close to the train station and the large cruise ship port. Rooms are nicely furnished, yet small, but that's what to expect in Venice. Staff was extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was really good with a wide selection. Hotel is not at the biggest tourist area of St. Marks Sq., but that a good thing as you can get the easily by water bus, and are therefore not overrun by the tourist crowds. We had a great experience there and would highly recommend this hotel.

The choice of this hotel made our vacation more wonderful. The location is convenient to the Grand Canal while being located on a nearby smaller canal which has less hustle bustle. Our room was beautifully renovated, small but with a large modern bathroom. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast is excellent and there is a lovely garden in which to enjoy it.

A nice clean hotel with friendly staff easy to locate a short walk from train terminal. Also close to cruise ship launches. We stayed 2 nights before our cruise and it was just perfect! We walked all through Venice starting from our hotel. We we go back in an instant!

We enjoyed our stay and while it was a bit difficult to find....we enjoyed it once we got there...had trouble getting the "free" trip to Murano. All in all, we would probably return if we wanted to stay in that area.

Hotel is close (walkable after the port tram) from the cruise port,. The hotel and rooms were charming and clean. The staff was helpful with booking transportation to the airport, and always in a good mood.

The hotel was very beautiful, the staff was exception!! The rooms were small, (that is always the case in venice) but lovely with updated bathrooms. It was very convenient to the cruise terminal and to canals of venice.

My wife and I stayed at the Olympia for 1 night after our cruise. The location was perfect. We had no problem finding it. We arrived early so our room was not ready. We left our luggage with the staff and they took it to our room while we were out sight seeing. The staff was friendly, helpful and polite and spoke English. Breakfast was very nice and had a good variety of warm and cold choices. Our room was in the annex. The weather was cold with some snow and our room was very warm and comfortable. It was small but updated very nicely even had a towel warmer. The room was very small but cozy. We would stay at Olympia again although probably not in the annex as there were some stairs in kind of a dark hall. All in all we were very happy we chose the Olympia and really enjoyed our stay.

The staff at the Olimpia included the nicest and most helpful people we came across throughout Italy.

We stayed in the Olimpia after our cruise, and it was really quick and easy to get there. A quick ride on the People Mover (1 Euro) brought us right to the plaza that led to the Olimpia. One short bridge and half a block later, and we were there. The rooms were surprisingly large, very clean and very cute. Crossing a couple more bridges led to another popular dining and shopping area. Even though we were so close to a plaza, the hotel was quiet at night and served a great breakfast. The taxis/buses to the airport were in the same plaza, and so it was easy to depart as well.

Located right off Piazale Roma-the transportation hub of the city. No elevator, but the room was beautiful although small. Lovely Venetian glass chandelier, upholstered walls with brocade, padded brocade headboard, lovely drapes hand-painted furniture and even the doors had floral designs. One drawback, the toilet was installed too close to the sink so that part of it was actually under the sink making the toilet very hard to use. Nice breakfast room with an adequate breakfast and a lovely woman attending the guests. No other restaurant on site. Good air conditioning in the rooms. Wi Fi too weak to reach the rooms, but a computer available int he lobby.

The hotel is easily visible from Piazzale Roma, so it's easy to find for travelers arriving by train or by bus from the airport. Very warm welcome; every single staff member was pleasant and helpful. We had a standard room which was quite small but very clean; it overlooked the charming garden, and it had a decent-sized bathroom with a real tub. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, served in a charming breakfast room with Murano chandeliers. Next time I'll opt for a superior room.

Two night stay pre-cruise. High cost for a quite small room was offset by a very friendly and helpful staff, scrumptious continental breakfasts, and location just steps from all modes of transportation. No need to drag luggage all over creation (just one small bridge). Possibly the world's smallest elevator made us smile. (Luggage was brought up stairs by bellman.) Access to the computer and printer in the lobby sitting area was very convenient and helpful. Don't miss the private garden for a few minutes of relaxation.
